24.01.2022 The theatre of sport!! The inaugural NRTA versus Tweed District Shield Challenge could not have been closer!! 64 young athletes battled it out in a Davis Cup st...yle format. After 16 doubles and 63 singles rubbers, the result hinged on the very last singles match on court. Ewan Chate from Alstonville was down a set, and fought off 6 match points in the second set tiebreak. Before sealing a gutsy 3rd set super tiebreak victory. And a 9 ties to 7 result for NRTA. 19.01.2022 Results from the weekend- Harlem represented North Coast in the PSSA state teams. He played great tennis and help the team finish a impressive 7th out of 13 teams. Marielou and Onyx played the Rafa JT in Toowoomba. Marielou made the Qfinals losing a close match to number 4 seed. Onyx won 2 matches in consolation draw. Lost semifinals 17-15 in super tiebreak! Ari, Solomon and Kori played the JDS at Ballina. Ari and Soli finished 3rd and 4th respectively and Kori won 3 pool matches on the day. Great work kids ! Back to the practice court.
