23.01.2022 MOOD INDIGO Announcing an exciting project CALLOUT A PEOPLES PROJECT Would you like to be one of the creators of a stylish public art work? Would you like to see your own work in an exciting outdoor exhibition? Imagine an atmospheric colonnade of glorious indigo blue, intriguing shibori patterns, an installation hung just above the heads of pedestrians for the Mullumbimby Sculpture Festival Ingenuity in November, at the same time as the Music Festival.... Mullums Palm Park Mood Indigo installation will be similar to Christo's Gates in New York but very very blue. (and smaller) An invitation from Creative Mullumbimby to participate in a public art project with ingenuity and integrity. Over a series of workshops, community participants will create large pieces for a textile public sculpture Creative Mullum is currently applying for funding for an awesome series of workshops and outdoor exhibition. Report No. 16.4 Recently we came very close to spending over $10,000 per bus shelter for generic, off the shelf prison chic type bus shelters. Shelters that were functional, butAfter the recently successful design competition for bike racks, councillors thought- surely we can get more beautiful, more... creative and more unique bus shelters for $10,000 each for 11 in total. So, thats what we will be seeking to do. Soon a competition will commence to select brilliant, functional and creative shelters for bus users.
