24.01.2022 Our vege garden is producing lots of lovely produce this year. So today I’m going to learn how to preserve our produce so we can eat it throughout the year. My mum and her friend Ruth have come to teach me the do’s and don’ts of preserving as they have learnt over the years. I have my grandmother’s Vacola pot and jars and am very excited to be finally putting it to use. Hoping to try a pasta sauce, jam and preserving plums as a starter. I picked up all my seals, lids and c...lips from @essentialingredientalbury, they were very helpful and I purchased a book which has recipes and the history of Fowlers while I was there. I love the feeling of growing, preserving and eating my own produce. Even more satisfying when we get a gorgeous crop cause we out smarted the cockies Looking forward to becoming more self sufficient in the future, it’s a great feeling x

21.01.2022 Just like to say WOW and awesome to Guy, he has our vege garden and orchard pumping! Most of all his tomatoes! We have the most amazing crop this year! They are red, plump, delicious and prolific! That basket is 2 bushes out of 20 Any favourite tomato recipes you want to share would be appreciated Now I just need him to come home and start cooking passata

10.01.2022 MERRY CHRISTMAS hope everyone is enjoying time with family and friends Finishing off 2020 with some joy and festivities! We were unable to go to Melbourne to join extended family but all my kids are home and we are here together so very grateful for that! Thanks to Celina Gray for the gorgeous Christmas cookies! Billy is having her Christmas siesta before lunch, it’s been a big morning and she couldn’t party any longer

04.01.2022 I have been working on a design for my dog bandanas. When I saw this fabric I thought of Tallie and I’m sure it applies to many dogs out there! I’m really happy with this design and as I get time to make some I will put them up on my page for sale. They are a bandana with press studs at each end, so you can tie or adjust size using the press stud or use both. Tallie has definitely had her photo taken before
