24.01.2022 Team Zoom meeting today. All our wonderful staff in attendance.

22.01.2022 How about it?? I don't think there's a better time of year to review your finances, particularly for business owners. With most businesses shutting down, or slowing down, over the Christmas period, what a great time to catch up for a coffee or lunch to run through your current offering. It doesn't cost anything, apart from a little of your time. Let me know if you're keen for a cuppa or a feed and we can catch up over the festive break. Thanks heaps. Cheers, Corey

21.01.2022 Another month on hold.....!! Yet, bank interest rates are on the rise. Time to review your current home or commercial loans??

20.01.2022 Don’t be a negative statistic. Talk to a broker now if this describes your situation. Who knows, another interest only term might be available, and a good option for you. The solution may be to refinance, but it may be better to stay put and renegotiate. Brokers can look after, and guide you, regardless of which strategy is employed. Pick up the phone or shoot off an email for a review. It won’t hurt......much!!

18.01.2022 Wow! It's a great time to review your current Bank's offering. Just sayin'........

17.01.2022 An additional 3 months to commence construction on your new home and still receive the $25k HomeBuilder Grant. The 3 month requirement has been extended to 6 months due to the recent changes to restrictions. At least that's one positive!! Read more on the State Revenue Office website below.....

16.01.2022 If anyone needs help with applying for a Coronavirus SME funding package loan, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'm open for business as usual. https://treasury.gov.au/coronavirus/sme-guarantee-scheme

15.01.2022 Just saw a couple of great clients up here and brought the kids along for the ride and to have a swim afterwards. They’re lovin’ it!

09.01.2022 Hi all, have a read of this blog if you've got a couple of spare minutes. It could save you thousands, with a little help from a mortgage broker you might know.

07.01.2022 Ditto! Hi Scott Pape, if you'd like to visit a broker a little closer to home, please don't hesitate to give me a call. We'd love to have you drop by to see how our business operates, and what the true value is that we provide to our clients. Hope to hear from you soon. Regards, Corey Mulqueen

07.01.2022 Tough location to work from today...... Great sending time with some new and existing Queensland clients over the past couple of days. Back in Bendigo tonight.

06.01.2022 Another day at a different office location. Catching up with some clients for a couple of days in South East Queensland.

06.01.2022 Hi All, Please have a read of this article from the ABC. It summarises the recent report issued by the ACCC about competitiveness in the home loan market, particularly with regards to the Big Four Banks. It suggests that having your home loan with one of these institutions will cost you more, from the outset, as the pricing discounts alone are significantly less. Not to mention the fees and charges potentially involved.... Additionally though, it goes on to say that 'no frills' or 'Basic' type home loans aren't as cheap as what lending institutions make out they are; specific to the individual. The interest rate may be attractive, but is that loan type the absolute best product for YOU. There are a number of options that assist with overall cost effectiveness and that's where a mortgage broker can run through these options with an unbiased approach. Enjoy the read and let me know if I can help "translate" any aspect. As always, I'm happy to review any home loan offering, or commercial/business loans for that matter, to ultimately get my clients into the most suitable product available. Have a great weekend in the meantime. Cheers, Corey

05.01.2022 Great day out!! Well done BTA, and thanks for hosting us!!

03.01.2022 Working from a slightly warmer location for the next 10 days. Still working though!!

03.01.2022 Hi All, in light of this error it's worth checking your own home loan over the festive break. Whether it's with the NAB, or any other lender, it's a good idea to do some spot checks every now and then to make sure the interest charges appear to be correct. Happy to help if needed; over a coffee or two of course (my shout!!). All the best. Kind regards, Corey

02.01.2022 I just wanted to make sure that no one missed the centre fold in the Domain Liftout in this Saturday's Bendigo Addy. Not what you were thinking, was it.......?

01.01.2022 It doesn’t matter what time it is; it’s always a great time to engage a mortgage broker or commercial finance specialist. Have someone else decipher the Bank jargon for you and compare the market to ensure you’re enjoying the best possible outcome. Hopefully it’s another celebrity trend that will keep spreading. Have a look at the TV ad put out by our industry association the MFAA.

01.01.2022 Wow!!! What's next?

01.01.2022 The final Royal Commission report into banking misconduct was issued today and details horrific behaviour perpetrated by the major Banks, and others. However, the biggest losers appear to be small business owners in the way of finance and mortgage brokers. Mr. Hayne has totally missed the mark in terms of the root cause of ‘poor customer outcomes’. On face value he hasn’t listened to any of the lobbying groups, including the MFAA and CIF, and hasn’t taken into account the exceptional service and advice that brokers provide to consumers. He also hasn’t taken into account the amount of work that brokers do, nor the number of interactions that we have with our clients that we don’t get paid for or charge clients for. Where to from here?? Very disappointing indeed Mr. Hayne and the entire RC.
