22.01.2022 Funding of up to $2,000 is available to multicultural seniors’ groups to support their members and build stronger connections with their communities during coronavirus (COVID-19). Online applications are open to first time applicants (e.g. newly formed multicultural seniors’ groups) or groups that have not received funding from the Department of Premier and Cabinet recently. Applications close 19 November 2020. The Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) will send offers of funding directly to existing multicultural seniors’ groups who have recently received funding and have established eligibility under Multicultural Affairs seniors funding programs. 13.01.2022 The parliamentary inquiry into Victoria’s COVID-19 contact tracing system will begin taking evidence during November. This is a chance for your voice and experience with Victoria’s contact tracing system to be shared and heard to ensure we have the best possible COVID-19 system so we can all stay COVID safe in the months ahead. Submissions can be made via an online form available at parliament.vic.gov.au/contacttracinginquiry. Submissions need to focus on COVID-19 contact tracing and testing. Hearings to be conducted by the Legislative Council Legal and Social Issues Committee will be held from 16 November.

Victoria Police is seeking to reflect the cultural diversity of the Victorian community as its workforce undergoes significant expansion. To help increase its workforce diversity, Victoria Police is partnering with Africause, Jesuit Social Services, Victoria University Polytechnic, AMES Australia, MatchWorks, and Maurice Blackburn Lawyers to offer the opportunity to participate in the Victoria Police Diversity Recruitment Program.
