06.01.2022 MultiLink is once again pleased to be a sponsor of the Queensland African Communities Council’s Africa Day Festival on Saturday 29 May 2021. As well as visiting and immersing yourself in the sights, sounds and tastes from the African Communities in Queensland, please make sure you come and chat to the friendly staff at the MultiLink stall and pick up the latest information on our Skilling Queenslanders for Work projects, NDIS Community Connectors program that supports CALD people living with a disability to enter into the NDIS, Settlement, bi-lingual English classes, No Interest Loans Scheme, Newly Arrived Youth services, Aged Care and a number of other programs and activities we have on offer. The event will take place at the Spanish Centre Soccer Fields in Acacia Ridge from 10am to 5pm and we look forward to seeing you all there!

05.01.2022 During Queensland Child Protection Week (6-12 September) MultiLink’s youth team delivered 7 information sessions to newly arrived young people, 6 held at Woodridge State High School and 1 at Beenleigh State High School. The sessions emphasised support services available if the young people (or someone they knew) was experiencing neglect or abuse, as well as reinforcing one of the key Child protection Week messages, that Child protection is everyone's business with all members... of society who need to play a part in ensuring children are nurtured and safe. MultiLink’s youth team were also joined by our team of Bi-Lingual Community Assistants who spoke Arabic, Burmese, Karenni, Chin, Farsi, Hazaragi, Swahili and Oromo and who provided language support to newly arrived students on the day. Students also made lanterns to shine a light on Child Protection Week which were displayed at School and enjoyed various games and activities during the day. #qldchildprotectionweek
