22.01.2022 #MeettheTeamMonday Hi Im Patricia, but I am known as Trish I have been working for Multiple Solutions for a little over 2 years now. I relocated from Sydney as I was in need of a sea change. I love Adelaide and love working with a team of extremely talented and genuine people at MS Society SA & NT. I have worked within the employment services sector for a little over 10 years, and enjoy working the industry as it provides the opportunity to assist those in need of better ...opportunities as everyone has the right to a second chance. At Multiple Solutions my role started as an employment consultant but now I am a Site Manager for 2 wonderful Northern Offices, Hillcrest and Modbury. I have been very fortunate to have this opportunity as it has provided me with a very rewarding experience not only working with the clients but also staff members across the organisation. I am a huge fan of soccer. I enjoy watching live games and taking along family and friends. Being a mother of teens doesnt allow a great deal of spare time however when miraculously such time exists I enjoy going on road trips to see what this beautiful state has to offer. I also enjoy time with friends, enjoy simple yet quality time with my family. See more

20.01.2022 #FeelGoodFriday We love to celebrate with our clients when they achieve a milestone. Glenn is living with MS and has recently reached 12 months in his current job. Awesome job Glenn! Glenn found it difficult to work long hours on his feet, but he was determined to continue to do what he loved, groundskeeping. Multiple Solutions helped Glenn to continue working as a groundkeeper, by providing him with new work boots and insoles so he can stay on his feet. We also helped Glenn gain his MR/HR truck licence and apply for relevant clearances to gain employment. Congratulations Glenn on your 12 month work anniversary.

11.01.2022 I wanted to mention with the anxiety problems I still suffer, Melissa understood that throwing me into the deep end with a work placement that demanded a lot of me wasnt going to benefit a good outcome. It certainly hasnt been an easy ride working among so many diverse people and situations and sometimes I amaze myself. If I didnt know I had someone on my side, cheering on the sidelines I certainly wouldnt be in the position I am today; doing a job I have an absolute passion for. I always thought I would be too old to be listened to, the younger generation seem to know it all, but the truth is there is someone out there willing to listen and I found them at Multiple Solutions!" ~ Deb

08.01.2022 #WellnessWednesday Are you finding yourself ordering more takeaway since the pandemic restrictions started? For most people, ordering in has become an exciting event since we've been tucked away at home without much else on our social calendars. Often when we think of takeaway, we think 'unhealthy'. But what if a takeaway meal could be balanced and nutritious? Here are some of the most nutritious options out there.

08.01.2022 #FeelGoodFriday When Deb came to Multiple Solutions she was cynical having been with other providers who did not recognise the amazing individual in their midst. Deb was tired of being one of many in an endless sea of clients only recognised as a number instead of being recognised for her individuality, strengths and potential. Multiple Solutions spent some time with Deb and learnt about her passions and her long diverse career. We recognised that Deb had a passion for permac...ulture and sustainable living, so we suggested that she complete a Certificate III in Community Services. After completing the certificate, Deb started work experience at the Midway Community House Inc. She impressed the Program Director Annette with her expertise and passion of sustainability and was offered a position running the inhouse community programs and activities. Deb now teaches alternative living in areas such as composting, worm farming, recycling, upcycling, making your own cleaners, to grow your own food supplies and cooking with limited resources. Great work Deb! Your determination is inspirational to us at Multiple Solutions. See more

03.01.2022 The Christmas season is meant to be a time of joy, but for many people it can be a time of stress, anxiety, disappointment or loneliness. Christmas comes with high expectations of perfect, happy families enjoying luxurious celebrations and gifts, but not all of us are able to live up to these ideals.

03.01.2022 Ned spent years volunteering for various businesses, in the hopes of finding a place that would take him on as a paid employee. Deflated from searching for work for years with no success, Ned joined Multiple Solutions in March. After discussing Ned’s skills and goals, his Multiple Solutions Employment Consultant, Marty uncovered Ned’s interest and enthusiasm towards barista work. So, Marty enrolled Ned into a two-day accredited Barista workshop with Independent Institute. Ned... was so excited that after less than a week with Multiple Solutions, he was already one step closer to pursuing a career in hospitality. Connecting through the Salisbury Business Awards in September, Multiple Solutions staff and Independent Institute owners, Susan and Stefan spoke about the determined young man who had just recently completed his Barista course with them at their Salisbury training facility. They discussed how they could work together to provide an employment opportunity for Ned at Café 91, Independent Institute’s training café, which would not only give Ned his first ever paid job but would also attract more customers to Café 91 and have a positive impact in the Salisbury community. Marty supported Ned to prepare for his interview at Café 91 which went extremely well. He got the job! Ned’s confidence had skyrocketed, with Multiple Solutions helping him to purchase his work uniform and navigate his first week of work. Ned says, It’s very rewarding to be doing something I like and to be fortunate enough to be paid for the experience. The support I’ve received from Multiple Solutions and the management and staff at Café 91 has made this experience the most rewarding of my life. Well done Ned!
