16.01.2022 Keep your family safe this winter by NEVER using outdoor heaters, barbecues, or charcoal pits inside your home. LPG, heat beads, and the like emit lethal carbon monoxide which can be fatal in a confined space. For more information, visit www.fire.nsw.gov.au/winter

13.01.2022 About 11:50am on 19/2/20 Mulwala Fire & Rescue assisted Yarrawonga SES, Ambulance and CFA at a motor vehicle collision on the Murray Valley Highway Yarrawonga. 12.01.2022 Don’t be a statistic! A fire can take hold in 3 minutes, it only takes seconds to prevent one. Frayed or damaged cords can start a fire. If you have taken your electric blankets out from storage, check that your electric blanket is in good working order before use. 12.01.2022 GOOD FRIDAY APPEAL. . Thankyou for the 14 champion young children who assisted in the Good Friday Appeal. Our helper numbers were down from previous years which reduced the number of houses we were able to call on. In total we collected just over $8000.00 for the township of Mulwala which is a fantastic effort. Special thanks to Mulwala Post office who raised $1000.00 through raffle tickets sales and donations.

11.01.2022 Can the children participating in tomorrow’s Good Friday Appeal be at Mulwala Fire Station at 8:15am for 8:30am start. Thanks

07.01.2022 SHED FIRE - YARRAWONGA . About 10am on 16/11/2019 Yarrawonga CFA, Tungamah CFA and Mulwala Fire Brigades responded to a shed fire in Sunset Court, Yarrawonga. Upon arrival crews found a shed well alight. The fire was eventually extinguished with the shed and its contents being completely destroyed. Initial investigations concerning the cause indicates the fire originated from a car stored in the shed. The fire quickly spread from the car igniting the other contents in the shed which included two cars, a boat and other house hold items. The fire appears to be accidental and is not being treated as suspicious.

06.01.2022 Fire Vs Police. . Our friendly neighbours from Mulwala Preschool came for a visit today. The children climbed over the trucks, dressed up in uniform and had a go on the hose. There was also a visit from the Highway Patrol. When the children were asked what they wanted to be when they grow up the Police won by a small margin . Must have been the fast car the police were driving.
