23.01.2022 Bloom’s Mum + Baby Classes resume 1 February - be the first to find out - send us a PM

22.01.2022 One of the elements of our prenatal AND postnatal yoga classes we have always emphasised...is going S L O W! This page is a wonderful source of inspiration for all mothers.

21.01.2022 Mum + Baby 5 Week Series $49 I’ve been teaching these classes since my youngest was 3 weeks old - she’s now double digits at 10 years old. Yoga was my saving g...race as a new mother and even now in isolation, it’s helping me maintain motherhood sanity! I’ve always been a believer that we ALL need yoga, and that new mums especially need nurturing just like their babes - so I’ve moved our POSTNATAL series ONLINE, mamas get THREE weekly practices: one for you and baby with play + massage, a mum only one for rest + nurturing plus a guided relaxation/meditation - do them all on your own time...or even on your own! Plus you can connect with an online community of fellow mamas. https://app.namastream.com/#/bloomyoga/buy/product/8838 See more

19.01.2022 Come along to the COMPLIMENTARY session this Wednesday morning.

17.01.2022 How you position your baby in the carrier can make all the difference! You simply want the carrier to be an extension of you, something that moulds your baby be...autifully into your body and supports both your ergonomics. 15% of infants go undetected for some range of hip instability at birth and thats why always supporting the legs in the M position is important so that they grow optimally (not just in a carrier, but when swaddling too by allowing them to stay free to move and not held firmly straightened out). The M position is also of prime importance for your comfort and your babys. Your centre of gravity can be pulled out of whack if your baby is not supported correctly against your body. Narrow-based carriers arent bad! They just arent ideal for the best position of the hips and comfort/enjoyment when carrying. Parents who use one are amazing for wanting to carry their baby and going to the effort to keep them close. To make sure you know how to use your baby carrier as safely & comfortably as possible, purchase my online training series https://brookemaree.com.au/pages/babywearing-download - B r o o k e - x - (For those asking, the Orange Carrier is my son and I in our Soul AseemA Carrier which I stock in my online store!)

16.01.2022 Mum + Baby classes are truly a metaphor for motherhood: its impossible to plan or prepare; some days you get all the asana, other times your practice is one of stillness + holding your baby; either way its an opportunity to be out of the house + just be: with yourself, with your baby, undisturbed by stuff and fully present. Bookings are OPEN for our series starting in 2020! Visit: www.bloomyogaroom.punchpass.com

15.01.2022 Our 8 week ONLINE series resumes in May, just $79. Home practices, meditation and inspiration to support your wellness as a woman.

15.01.2022 If you can sneak away for a few hours mums...

15.01.2022 Next week is the return of our Mum + Baby Yoga classes IN-PERSON! woohoo! As a long time practitioner, yoga continues to be my anchor as a mother. New mums need nurturing; to witness mothers walk into the class perhaps stressed, tired, or anxious and then to see them leave feeling lighter and looking brighter, refreshed to continue mothering with a renewed strength is truly an honour. Limited places remain for our RE-birth next week! ... 5 Week Series $105 includes access to online content for home practice. For mums who cannot join us in person, our series is FULLY ONLINE too, with pre-recorded content to practice any time that suits. $49. All details in the event.

15.01.2022 I wanted to share this photo of me with my first born. Circa 2008. His journey into the world changed my life...it was around this time I began my yoga teacher training. Fast forward to 2019 and Im wondering how the hell its gone so FAST! Motherhood makes you go DEEP within yourself and Im so thankful for the many lessons this kid is teaching me. Thanks heavens for yoga, even if I only managed 20 mins once a week, I always cherished the time I had for me.

12.01.2022 The hard work of a parent can often be overlooked, undervalued and minimized when in fact it should be recognised, celebrated and honoured. This is some of the ...most important work you will ever do in your life. Every little thing you do helps build a strong connection between you and baby that can last a lifetime. This is not only what your baby needs to thrive, it's actually what the world needs more of too. More people who know how to be genuinely connected to one another in a meaningful way. Babies learn this skill from you. Believe in what you are doing and see the huge value in it. We do. See more

10.01.2022 I wish I had this information as a new mum...the importance of keeping baby close!

10.01.2022 For any mums that need some time out!

10.01.2022 Pregnancy = 9-10 months Birth = 1 day Fourth trimester = 3 months In arms = 6-10 months Crawling exploration = 3-12 months ... Walking exploration = 18-27 months Total = 1375 days of Intense Interdependence Our babies need us to be nurturing patient and calm while living interdependently for a finite amount of time. They need us to meet their needs as they are today. Without worry that they will need intense interdependence forever. From conception to age 3, they need our mature nervous systems to help them sleep, recover from stress, get through a day, learn, and explore. They need us to understand emotions and relationships. They need to borrow our mature brain as their brain matures. They all grow and develop and the interdependence becomes less intense. When we give interdependence freely, happily, enthusiastically and without reservation - our children thrive! Their brains grow to be resilient, creative, intelligent and social. Their mental and physical health is protected. So please remember the finite quality of the first 1375 days and the dramatic impact you make when you nurture it. When your baby needs you to sleep, when they need to be held all day, when they want to feed all day, when they want to play on your lap, when they want you to watch them, when they want to look at you. Celebrate this. It will end. After age 3 children still need nurture, calm, patience and interdependence. But not as intensely. All humans need interdependence. Our children will always need us to be a safe place to return to. If we nurture them early they will see us as that safe place. 09.01.2022 "With the growing popularity of yoga, we find more and more women practitioners of varying age groups worldwide. This is to be appreciated, but at the same time, women need to be aware that the practice needs to be adapted to their age and phase in life. The natural process of growth, change and decline are common to men and women. However, women experience these changes more intensely at times of hormonal changes from menstruation to menopause. For the practice of asana is not just the physical act of the postures but also using them to progress toward a calm mind within. And this can happen only if we cultivate mindful awareness of the body, discrimination of what is healthy, and balanced reflection on the bigger picture in the asana practice itself. Indra Mohan, Svastha Yoga

05.01.2022 If you're at all like me, it seems like we don't have 'time' for our selves, that we are constantly ON and DOING stuff - more often that not it's for those around us. We're always saying "tomorrow, next week or next month" - well what about now? I'm not sure we can ever really escape the chaos, so why not embrace it!? I created this 8 week series of yoga classes especially so that women could take time to unfold, rest and fill them selves up. Would love to share this series of classes with you! Begins TUESDAY 6 AUGUST 730pm. Beginners Welcome.
