23.01.2022 BACK TO SCHOOL ROAD SAFETY Now that school is back, here's some tips to help keep kids safe at drop-off and pick-up times during the school week: Stick to the... 40km/h speed limit in a school zone and look out for children who may be about. Watch for flashing lights on buses. They let you know that there may be children crossing or about to cross the road. A 40km/h limit applies when school bus lights flash. Always give way to pedestrians particularly when entering and leaving driveways. Always park and turn legally around schools. Manoeuvres such as U-turns and three-point turns are dangerous during busy school drop-off and pick-up times. Tips courtesy of the Towards Zero campaign.

21.01.2022 !!!! IMPORTANT MESSAGE- REGARDING THE MUSEUMS COLLECTION !!!! We thank everyone for their support. We have had many enquiries as to what will happen to the co...llection at the museum. The collection belongs to the Historical Society in trust for the people of Wellington. Rest assured it is not leaving town. When we move we will have exciting new displays rather than displays which do not change for years. The collection will be well looked after by our team of volunteers and nothing will be sold, given away etc. We will obviously need some help in the months to come so watch this page to see how you can help. Dorothy Blake, Museum Curator Thank You Dale (
