It's never ending hour...s and requirements most would rather pass on. - No sick days - No calling in - No personal days - No vacations - No privacy - No alone time - No personal space - No quitting - No sleep - No putting yourself first - No stopping Yeah, it's a lot of no's... Why do you do it then, you ask? Because. - Because, you are their mother. You gave birth to the most precious beings in your life. Because you have loved them before you knew them. Because you would give your life for them. Because the smiles and unconditional love you receive is more then any sacrifice you have ever made. Sure, it's hard. 12.01.2022 Real talk || As a Mum I am freakin busy, I mean like I am forever saying yeah I will do that tomorrow or yes I really need to call that person and check in..... but then time just gets away. I get distracted doing Mum stuff!! I feel like as a Mum every single day rolls into the other and I hear myself saying yep same shit different day.... And that is freakin sad.... But that's on me!! If I want to change that, only I can! I caught up with a Girlfriend of mine this morning for a coffee and it was just bliss. We haven't seen each other in forever or even spoken properly, but we took off from where we left. It was like we had only saw each other last week. But as we sat down and started to really talk, we had both missed out on so much of each other's lives. I missed her! And I was so passed at myself for leaving it so long. I feel like we get stuck in this mindset of the house needs to be clean or I need to do groceries or I need to really lets face it fluff about. This shit keeps us busy!! But its not important. Do I want to look back on life and think to myself yes I had a nice house, but I didn't really spend alot of time with those that matter??? HELL NO!! I want to live a life full of purpose. One that I can look back on and think I really made the most of it. Clean washing is great, and so is a clean house. But that stuff isn't important. Making time for friends and family is what is important. I am going to make a personal commitment to myself and those that I treasure to show up and make more effort. I am going to slow down, and appreciate the beauty that life provides us. Can you relate?
