15.01.2022 Such a fun way to introduce recognition of letters and numbers, write them in chalk on the bricks either in sequence or random and then say what number or letter you want them to make disappear with the water from the spray bottles. Its also fun to watch them create their own pictures to spray.

05.01.2022 Combining spring with paint. Today is about painting a pinecone and rolling it around inside the box to see what patterns we can make, as well as painting leaves to see what shapes they make

04.01.2022 Over the weekend I turned a dead space in the courtyard into a creative space instead. I painted the fence wall with blackboard paint! Time to get drawing!!!!

04.01.2022 Sensory and cognitive skills. Learning numbers can be fun with sensory, cognitive and physical experiences all wrapped up in one. I made some sand tracing numbers with counting spots available beside. Once the numbers were painted, they were laminated and then had sand glued for the sensory element. It’s fun to trace the number with your finger and then count out the objects totally that number on to the spots. Different items were used to count each number.

19.12.2021 One of our mummies kindly lent us their felt Christmas tree! These are so much fun and allow the kids to express themselves through design of place of the pieces. They’ve really loved using it

04.12.2021 Sweet unplanned magical moments are my favourite. The moments in the day when their little minds go into hyper drive and they come up with unplanned child initiative play. This game lasted well over an hour with the exploration of the chalk changing colour when wet to creating rainbow water by mixing the colours from the chalk being scrubbed on the ground!!!
