22.01.2022 I have truely loved being in this beautiful space a little excited for winter school holidays. Its been a big upside down term for relief teaching/aligning back together. Now for project's unfinished/re-potting/gardening/friends & national park walking catch ups... sigh/bliss

20.01.2022 For 6 weeks, this was up there in my top fav housesit/teen sit/furbaby sit jobs. My grandson was born in the middle of it & I got to become a Nonna. I got to see Midnight Oil with a school buddy, got horrendously sick with food poisoning and a little hangover combined, had my son visiting with us for some of it, and even a little bit of negotiated consequence house cleaning duties for a few rounds of playing hooky by all 3 teens! Lol... all up, wouldnt change a thing (except for being crook) They're all independent teens now so that wont happen again but I still have the videos and the memories!

14.01.2022 In an earlier post, Penny (the Peahen) came along and tried to stay at a home I am house-sitting (it's up for sale) so she needed to be relocated at the request of the owner. Thankfully at the place I volunteer at on Wednesdays, they had a Peacock called Andrew who was looking for love. Much plotting, easy catching and 2 wks settling later (4 wks worth!) Love is in the air! So happy with the start of this story. Hooray for Andrew and Penny <3

13.01.2022 A tough gig. My backyard for 3 wks. Add wildlife, so many different bird sounds, a inspirational kitchen that's had me cooking 3 different types of broth, soups and various dips and minutes from town! Plus a lot of help from 1 of mums cookbooks! Ahhh

10.01.2022 Wow.. never have I looked after 8 cats at the same time! This is only 4 of them! Does anyone want 2 black kittens?! They are ring-ins at the last minute lucky for me they are cute and litter trained (& up to date at vet).. only just hitting 8 weeks old. A 2 wk sit.. 9 more sleeps to go! 05.01.2022 Two weeks and 8 cats from kittens to palliative care. Goodbye Tabby, Sheldon, Grey, Billy, Magdelene, Mimi, Marigold & Bergetta. Some of you arnt long for this world and some of you have just begun! My house mate Asrar was wonderful company & now a new friend. Even the vet asked for my business card for housesitting. It's been a different kind of job but my world has expanded because of it. Farewell pussycats

05.01.2022 Another week of snuggles, pats'n'purs with Po, Jangles, Missy & Boots. 1 cat grounded for 2 days. Naughty Boots! Walk of shame home after 2 full days of who knows what & where... wish there'd been a cat cam! Lots of purr pats while grounded. Felt the rollercoaster emotions similiar to a parent with a truanting teen! There will be crazy excitement in a few hours when their folks get home. Love that I'm booked in 4x already with this family for 2021

04.01.2022 RIP my oldest fur-granchild. This darling girl.. Ozzy.. 17 yrs old.. passed away today. So grateful she was in the arms of family. My heart aches... this girl outlasted many of our furbabies. I was due to look after her mid December for a month. RIP our girl
