14.01.2022 Time to sit back and reflect on 2020...Oh, what a year it’s been! Thanks everyone for being part of the bumpy ride... It started on a high at the Santos Tour Down Under when touring and racing was business as usual. We had a blast and excitement levels were at their greatest as we then went on to prepare for our Spring Classics adventures in Europe. Thinks quickly took a turn and before we knew it, we were riding the Paterberg, but on our home trainers! From there it was all... about virtual group rides, with a whole lot of replanning and contingency planning in between. Our longing for racing and being at them was somewhat lessened when the pros eventually got back into things for the revised season, and we watched on from home enviously, yet thrilled to see our favourite team’s and riders back in action. Our work for a special return in 2021 then well and truly begun. Things we can be thankful for in 2020: More time at home with family! Amazing long (often solo) rides from our own backyards A whole new appreciation for the indoor trainer Time to explore other ways to keep fit from home A pause from our busy day to day lives to sit back and just be Confirmation that we absolutely love travelling, judging by how much we missed it and being on the road! The time we had to work on other parts of Mummu Cycling as a whole, including the launch of our online shop and a whole lot of planning for future trips and experiences. Happy New Year all and cheers to a big year ahead!

09.01.2022 While some of us are heading into a balmy Southern Hemisphere summer, the rest are rugging up getting prepared for the winter. How do you keep motivated during the winter months? Our top tips: ... Layer up well in high quality gear, but not so much that you’ll overheat, over-sweat and then pay the price later ride Call a friend! As much as we do love a good solo spin from time to time - riding with a mate or in a group will not only be an enjoyable social outing, but also a great distraction from the cooler temps! Don’t be afraid to be a fair weather rider - Being cold is one thing, but cold and soaking wet is no one’s favourite combo. Check the forecast before heading out and if it’s not to be, reschedule or hit the home trainer. Plan ahead! Motivation to get out for some exercise and especially ride can sometimes disappear during the winter months with shorter days and chilly conditions. Plan your week and your ride/training regime so you’re committed and prepared to make it happen. Have some more winter training tips? Please share in the comment below!
