Chantelle uses music, colour, textures and more to explore all the senses. She even plays a mean ukulele I’ve even been to a few sessions myself even without bringing a child and had so much fun! 17.01.2022 Happy New Year Mummies! Well 2020 was for sure one of the most challenging years for so many families and in so many ways. There has been isolation, job losses, businesses closing, loneliness and so much fear and heart break. But through all of it we have pulled together to live our lives in togetherness, support and change. In many situations including mine brought us back to basic values, togetherness, family and being in the moment. With the slower pace you really appreciate what is important in life and what needs your attention. So with positivity I will look back on 2020 as a valuable learning experience that will benefit us all moving into a more caring, loving understanding world. So here’s to a new year filled with more family moments, community healing, better health and lots of happiness! Happy New Year my lovelies! Xxxx

02.01.2022 Happy birthday to our special ‘original nannie’ Julianne. She’s been such a great part of Mummylicious pretty much from the very start. Some of you may not know this but Julianne is my Mother-in-law and has been helping me with the babies for many many years now. Her unwavering kindness to volunteer her time with us has been such a godsend. It allows our mums to have a much needed break for a while so they work their butt off and feel energised. Pushing prams, rocking babie...s, playing chasing games are just a few of the things you’ll see her doing at class. She has been there for Mummylicious thru all the crazy business ideas and changes, thru my life changing moments, family passings, difficult decisions and all with a smile, support and her funny blunt humour. Who says you can’t get along with MIL’s. Well I got lucky! So Julianne, I’m wishing you the loveliest day today. Kick up your heels and be pampered today! You deserve it! 02.01.2022 Day 12 Get Your Beauty Sleep One of the most critical elements to weight loss success isn’t the food you consume but how much sleep you get each night. And lets face it, being a mum + holidays = very little sleep time. We have 2 important hormones that play a role in how we metabolise fat and control our appetite. Leptin and ghrelin work together to keep our appetite in check - leptin tells us when we are hungry and ghrelin lets our brain know when we are full. The pr...oblem is, when we don’t get enough quality sleep, leptin levels rise (which makes us crave food) and ghrelin levels decrease (resulting in the brain never telling us when we are full). Ahhh and we just keep eating! So after all the Christmas festivities and after your last little one has laid their head to rest, make sure you shut off your electronics, put on an eye mask, throw in some ear plugs and let your partner wake to the children because you are starting your new weight loss plan. ;-) Have a great Christmas Day everyone! x See more
