25.01.2022 I love this quote for so many reasons. Firstly because it echoes the power of Mum to Mum word of mouth A Mum is more likely to take the recommendation of a brand when it is coming from another Mum - even if she does not personally know that mum, purely because she can relate to her, her lifestyle and is experiencing similar frustrations. Do you know what consumers are saying about your brand? And is what she is saying helping or hindering the sale?

Nadine's been a part of the Mumpower family for many years now and was recently one of the thousands of Mums who shaped our research study into the sales effect of purpose driven brands.

25.01.2022 Are you a conscious shopper? A global pandemic has not distracted consumers growing preference for sustainable products. In fact, 33% of Mums surveyed in the Mumpower Shopper Insights Report said supporting sustainable products/brands is more important to her now. While for 55% of Mums buying sustainable is just as important as it ever was. Are you still consciously shopping for sustainable products or is this less of a priority at the moment?

24.01.2022 Have you ever thought about filtering or removing negative brand reviews? If so - remember (generally speaking), that a balance of reviews, i.e. positive, neutral and negative doesn’t mean that your brand is tipped to fail. A balance of reviews enables the consumer to collect information, process information, relate the information to her needs and then ultimately make an informed buying decision. And - a balance of reviews is believable. Mum shoppers want to know the facts (pro's and con's) and then decide, based on how important it is to her motivation to purchase.

22.01.2022 Totally agree with key points and trends here about Influencer Marketing. Influencer Marketing is tipped to grow faster than other advertising channels. People are now making more considered purchases (we see this in great detail in the Mumpower Shopper Insights Report). And as a way to validate her decision to buy, she is doing more research about the brand beforehand, and listening to what others say about the brand is more important to her. So it makes sense that Influence...r Marketing is part of this journey. A key benefit to partnering with Influencers is due to the fact that they are at the forefront of what their readers want and are going through and can adapt campaigns fast and personally to maximise emotive contentedness between brands and their readers. Loved seeing how the relationship between our brand partners and our influencer network has evolved recently. It’s become more personalised, more fluid and ultimately even more engaging because all parties have become extra responsive and intricately aware of the changing needs of the customer. While on one hand, we will have more people online shopping, brands will need to be conscious of ways they will instill 'emotional connectedness' between their brand and their customer in an onli...ne space. It's critical because emotional connectedness is what influences us to buy. Humanising technology will be one way to achieve this, alongside other extremely critical factors. i.e. language, tone, crafted messaging Mums continue to tell us how important it is to them that brands "speak to us like people". They want to feel a real connection - even if it is online.
