25.01.2022 Today has been a very difficult day for so many people, for so many different reasons... People are terrified of the threat to their health or the health of a loved one. People are worried about family and friends that live far away. Hearts are broken over lost businesses and jobs, having to reschedule weddings, pick and choose guests at funerals, delayed and cancelled IVF cycles, birthing babies without family close by, cancelled holidays and a myriad of reasons inbetween...... There is very real anxiety about the future and so many people struggling to understand- What will it look like? How will we rebuild? Community is everything right now, and at Mums for Mums, thats what we do best... 24.01.2022 Last night I logged into this online Zoom session. I had so many things on my to-do list last night. I was late to log on because - Children and bedtime . I was still eating my dinner. I was drinking wine.... I was in my Pyjamas. My husband had the TV on in the background. AND - I LOVED it!! I highly recommend you jumping on next Wednesday night! The women who run these sessions are so lovely and compassionate. The other women who participate where engaged and interested, and it includes discussion and ideas for children from babies up to teenagers! I finished the session feeling better equipped, with more ideas and motivation to help my children and myself navigate the current climate. Thank you Be Centre Foundation! I am looking forward to next Wednesday night already, but right now, I am off to make puppets!

16.01.2022 This evening we have listed a new business in our "community business directory". It is not strictly local, but is in line with everything Mums For Mums represents. Get behind them if you can, and lets show our frontline workers just how much we appreciate them!! FRONTLINE FLOWERS: Delivering posies of joy to the people putting their health on the line for the rest of us.... "You can nominate a specific frontline worker, or you can sponsor a posy to be delivered to someone on our nomination list. We then co-ordinate with our local growers and wholesalers who donate or sell their unsold blooms to the program at a reduced cost; we then process and wrap the donated flowers and deliver them to the Frontline Flowers recipient. A posy costs $25, which covers the safe delivery of the posies to their recipients and helps supplement the cost of the flowers. All other labour and product costs are donated by participating suppliers and vendors."

15.01.2022 What a truely wonderful community... Thank you to Lisa Hewitt for making this year such a special Anzac Day. Along with the local Mitre 10 stores who gave us the candles, and the very special men, women and children who played the Last Post so beautifully. It was just magic to have trumpets, flutes and bagpipes echo from the beaches to the hills at 6 am. They gave their lives so we could live this wonderful life. ...
