15.01.2022 Hi everyone I hope you're all geared up for a great weekend Broome is amazing - just so beautiful, and you can actually swim in the ocean (between the flags) here, which is very cool... There are warning signs for crocs and stingers, but the stinger season is almost finished and there doesn't seem to be any crocs I have been lucky enough to be sleeping in a friend of a friend's driveway here, so haven't needed to free camp anywhere.... (Thanks so much Kat ) I have been out to James Price Point, it is sensational - the colours are almost an assault to your senses.. and will drive out to Cygnet Bay for a look tomorrow I tried to put my drone up at James Price, and unfortunately it has finally decided that it doesn't want to fly anymore and I wasn't able to take the aerial shots that I came to Broome for... (This was not a happy afternoon ) So this has lead to a slight diversion in my original travel plans A decent new drone with a spare battery is around the $3000 mark - so I'm now going to stay in Broome working at a caravan park for this tourist season If anyone is looking for a safe unpowered site, prices start at $16.50 for tents/vans... It is 20km out of Broome, but is a lot cheaper than any accommodation options in Broome itself. 12.01.2022 Just an interesting little note about the staircase to the moon nights It's on for 3 nights in April, I guess this is normal? I did the staircase last night at Town Beach... The tide goes waaaaaay out, exposing the sand flats, and as I have also found out tonight the extremely low tide also exposes the reef at Cable Beach If you're wanting photos of the camels here on wet sand, this is also done at the same time as the staircase - I didn't realise this until I got to the beach tonight, so that's now on the to do list

09.01.2022 Good morning from Mary Pool free camp WA... What a stunning rest stop! I'll stay an hour out of Broome tonight, and be in Broome for a cappuccino at Cable Beach tomorrow #sorrynotsorry I did stop at Halls Creek for fuel yesterday and it was fine, you wouldn't want to be there at night, and the petrol station itself is like Fort Knox Big Rig is a thirsty girl so I'll have to stop at Fitzroy Crossing as well... See how we go ... I'm definitely a while from home now I haven't added my fuel dockets up yet, but there's a few lol.. See more

01.01.2022 The longest road trip I've ever been on... But oh so so worth it... I've never seen water this colour, just breathtaking, and even the coffee is great
