You play the role of a front line worker to get much needed supplies of medicine, food, toilet paper, face masks and sanitiser to the citie...s before it’s too late. You have 14 days to eradicate as many infections as possible and limit the number of patients heading to the ICU. Once a city has reached its capacity of infections the ICU starts to fill up. 20.01.2022 Only 24hrs left for "Stage 3" the game to hopefully become a reality on Kickstater. I have really appreciated all the support from my family and friends to try get this game across the line so I can produce it. The way Kickstarter works is, if you share your project and enough people like what you are making they can purchase the product. At the end of the campagn it's all or nothing. Meaning if you have rasied enough money everyone will then be charged for thier purchase and... the product can then get produced and shipped out. If you have not rasied enough money no one will get charged a cent (so there is no risk) all the money rasied is gone and the project doesn't go ahead. Right now I am sitting at around $5000 rasied with the aim to raise $28000. The amount I need to rasie is so that I can produce enough copies of Stage 3 to make it affordable for the customer. In reality even if I make my target of $28000 I will still loose money due to the high expense of producing and shipping. My aim has never been to make money on the first shippment of Stage 3, it was to get the game into the homes of people to play. I would love nothing more than to know that a game I have made is being played by people all over the counrty. If my Kickstater campaign fails I will still be working hard to find a way to get this game produced. 15.01.2022 I am beyond excited I just received my final prototype of my new card game 2 Down. This has been months of hard work and now it’s time for some final play tests to make sure everything is good to go! 2 down is simple. The first player to complete 9 levels with the 2 down twist wins. The twist is 2 cards are face down in front of each player, these cards can be added to your hand if you pick up a 1UP card giving you a major advantage. Within the game there is 3 different ch...allenge cards each consisting of 9 levels. Each level is unique with RUNS, GROUPS, PACKS, HEAPS, CLUMPS, ODDS and EVENS. The players who complete the level will advance to the next, however the players who don’t, stay on the same level until they accomplish it. Once a player has put down there level the round is over, but this doesn’t mean everyone is out just yet. The remaining players now pick up there 2 down cards, if they can complete the level they may do so and move on to the next level. If not they stay back on the same level. To throw a spanner in the works I have added a swap card, meaning every player will swap their entire hand with another player. This can be really detrimental or can give you the winning hand. 12.01.2022 NOW ON KICKSTARTER Stage 3: Inspired by the events of 2020 when the world went into lock down. The Government has ordered everyone to go into Stage 3 restrictions. You play the role of a health worker and with your team (3 other players) work together to slow the spread of infections and limit the number of patients heading to the ICU. If you succeed the government will ease restrictions.... You have 14 days to get much needed supplies of medicine, food, toilet paper, face masks and sanitiser to each city before it's too late. Once a city has hit its maximum infection rate the ICU starts filling up, if you get 8 patients in the ICU it is game over. If you manage to get through the 14 days with less than 8 ICU patients, you win. The gameplay is simple, a player will pick up an infection card, place the infections into the city/cities described on the card then move 2 spaces. There are 4 different board spaces for a player to land on: RED Health space - player picks up health cards BLUE Infection space - player picks up infection cards BLACK ICU space - player adds a patient to the ICU GREY City space - player uses health cards to combat infections and add supplies What makes this tricky is the rule of Social Distancing. If a player lands on a space next to another player every city receives one extra infection. This creates constant conflict for the players movement. A player might have supplies needed to help a city, but another player is in their way. Players are constantly working together to find the best and most efficient way to move around the board.
