23.01.2022 Often we see a Physiotherapist for physical issues, but its important to tell us if there is something on your mind. Health is not just physical wellbeing, but it is also your mental wellbeing, and both can affect each other. Here are Ashs tips for staying healthy:... 1. Make Healthy food & drink choices Choose nutritious meals over easy meals, and make sure to limit alcohol and soda intake to an absolute minimum! Gut health is important, and so are the choices we make. 2. Stay Social We are social creatures, and it is important to talk to friends and family. Good relations are key, and things like sporting clubs, bowls clubs and mens sheds often have a socially engaging atmosphere. At first it can seem daunting, but often once youve joined you wont regret it! 3. Stay Active Exercise can be a great way to release endorphins or the feel-good chemical in our brain. Find something you enjoy doing, stay accountable, and maybe involve a friend or family member. 4. Know when to seek help and do not be afraid If you notice any changes to your mental or physical health. Its important to have a trusting and confident relationship with a doctor and speak open and honestly more than likely that they have encountered these symptoms before and can get you on track for the treatment. In parting, we will leave a few resources for you to check out, and make sure you check up on your friends and family we are all in this together Beyondblue.org.au ruok.org.au
