19.01.2022 Our marvellous Mungar Mum, Kelly, has stepped (and ran!) up to the challenge to take 10,000 steps every day for the month of August to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. As part of the fundraiser Kelly visited the school yesterday and sold some pretty impressive cupcakes to staff and students, raising around $150!! Funds go towards game-changing research helping NBCF get closer to ending deaths from breast cancer. Thanks Kelly for the amazing work you have done!

18.01.2022 We extend a warm welcome to the community to attend our upcoming 2022 P&C AGM Meeting. Executive positions will be open for nominations. There is no pressure to commit to a position when attending, general committee membership is an option and is also valuable to the association. It really is a great way to keep up to date with school plans and curriculum to receive key messages and to contribute towards decision making for the school and our students. We look forward to seeing you all there.

07.01.2022 One of the classroom activities our senior students thoroughly enjoy creating and playing with, is the GraviTrax. Its an interactive system that students can design and build race tracks with whilst at the same time learning about the effects of gravity, magnetism and kinetics. Each track is different and unique. Check out this cool track that our students were proud to show off and demonstrate.

04.01.2022 This week was NAIDOC week and a chance to reflect on the history and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Students at Mungar State School participated in NAIDOC inspired art and craft activities and we even had the pleasure of being visited by Tjupurru who performed The Didjeribone Show. It was an entertaining concert which captivated students and staff and had us all amused!
