If you took part in this event, or know who we could contact to pass these on, please let Kodie at MBAC know. Cheers!

04.01.2022 On Friday 10th July, Mungart Boodja opened its door to the Albany community and invited community members to speak about what it was like growing up in the Great Southern. We had over 50 people attend, and provided a BBQ lunch. What resulted was a special afternoon of sharing between cultures, education and conversation happening at a grass roots level. We had some laughs and we made some new friends!

04.01.2022 We're heading to Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair in less than two weeks! 03.01.2022 We have exciting news! Mungart Boodja Artist Caroline Narkle has been awarded the 'First Nations Award' by Tjuma Pulka Media Aboriginal Corporation at the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Art Prize, for her work, 'Bluff Knoll'. The Kalgoorlie-Boulder Art Prize is currently on exhibition until 27th September. Caroline has this to say about the exciting news, '‘I would like to thank the City of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder for organising this event, and say a special thank you to Tjuma P...ulka for selecting my piece for the First Nations Award. Growing up in Mount Barker in the Lower Great Southern, I have a special connection to Bluff Knoll, and as a child spent many days learning to paint from my mother Bella Kelly, who is a well known Noongar artist. I spent many weeks creating this painting, and I am very excited to have been acknowledged for all of my hard work. Thank you again!’ Congratulations for Caroline!
