24.01.2022 Welcome to Mungery Hall

24.01.2022 Last week was a big one at Mungery. The Mighty Bogan ran full & our new skillion went up at the Hall! A great job done by the Ken Hilder Engineering team. All made possible by the FRRR tackling tough times together program and Narromine Shire councils regional facilities maintenance program.

24.01.2022 We have made it through to the voting stage in the essential energy community choices program! https://voting.essential energy.good2givegrants.org Voting is now open and we would love it if you could help us out and VOTE 1 Mungery Hall!... Voting is open DAILY and doesn’t take long. We are in zone 10 and under the name Mungery recreation reserve land manager If successful we would like to put the money towards adding onto our beloved outdoor fireplace, and incorporating items from the old original hall. We believe this would be a great addition and a way of remembering the history of the hall which is next year! Thanks!

24.01.2022 Do you (or any older folk you may know) have any old photos, newspaper articles etc relating to the Mungery Hall? We’d love to hear from you if you do. The hall was founded in 1922, which means our 100th birthday is in the not too distant future! Here’s a promotional flyer from 1941- for a sports carnival in aid of the Mungery patriotic committee which was to raise money for the war effort. (Our favourites are the sweethearts race, the prize of a fat lamb for guessing the weight of a sheep, and of course the grand ball at night)

20.01.2022 Below is the Bogan Bush Mobile timetable for this term. If you are interested in a fun morning out for your little ones at the hall, get in contact with the girls at BBM. We love having them out at mungery!

14.01.2022 Flashback Friday To 1983 and the old hall after it was damaged in a bad storm. (Nice wheels!)

13.01.2022 The finished product

10.01.2022 Thanks to Essential Energy and their community choices program, we were the lucky recipients of $1000. Also a big thanks to those who voted for us!

09.01.2022 Busy Sunday on the Bogan today. The hall got a new paint job thanks to local Narromine painter Tony Jacobson. Thanks Tony! And a shout out to dulux Inspirations Paint Dubbo Watch this space

08.01.2022 This classic article from the Narromine News was in our mailbox today. 1997 Mungery vs Tomingley cricket. (Thanks to whoever dropped it off) A few young roosters in there, can you pick any familiar faces?

08.01.2022 On Friday there was a beautiful wedding at the hall, congratulations to the newlyweds! It was a great weekend at Mungery. The hall looked a picture- here’s a little look at just one of the gorgeous features

08.01.2022 Found this yesterday. (Food dye & all) Hands up if you are old enough to have been to a Mungery B&S

06.01.2022 We have recently been successful in gaining funding for the new skillion at the hall. We are very much looking forward to completing the project and seeing you all out here on the Bogan! Many thanks to the FRRR and their tackling tough times together program. Also to the Narromine Shire & their Narromine Regions Facilities Maintenance Program. Watch this space.

05.01.2022 Last year we were successful in gaining funding from the Tomingley Gold Operations Community fund. This was for painting the exterior of the hall. Unfortunately 2019 was hardly conducive to outdoors painting with its weekly dust storms!! Thankfully the dust has been replaced with rain & things are underway. A big Thankyou to the Tomingley Gold Operations Community Fund for making this possible, along with Narromine Shire. (Shout out to all the people who give up their free time to help out at the hall. It’s always much appreciated)

04.01.2022 Last of the concrete laid for the new skillion area. Massive thanks to the boys at MDK Contracting, on another job well done. Shout out to KB Concrete for running it out. We love our local tradies!
