18.01.2022 The Mungindi Show Committee met last night and amid the recent Covid-19 pandemic, the ASC have released a move to ban any Show's taking place in NSW until June 14th where they will then reasses the situation for Show's due to take place after this date. Whilst we have the health and wellbeing of our community at best interest, we also understand how significant this event is to our community and therefore, we have decided to plan ahead in hope that restrictions will lift come... June 14. We will endeavour to keep you all updated as changes are made. So in the meantime, lock the date in, and let's hope this virus becomes controlled and managed and we see you all August 8th and 9th.

18.01.2022 MEETING POSTPONED As this intensive harvest season is our top priority, we’ve decided to postpone our meeting to early February next year, after school holidays. The date will need to be confirmed when it’s close. It will be emailed out to our members and post on our social media... All arrivals into Qu...eensland must self-isolate for 14 days, unless you have an exemption. Our Drive-in Fireworks display will be held on Saturday 8th August at the Mungindi Show Grounds. This is a free event however, due to COVID-19 we are restricted to 300 entries. We apologise for this and thankyou for understanding that this is outside of our control. Please notice the link is for PER VEHICLE, so please check with your friends/family before booking. Gates open at 6.45pm and close at 7pm. The Mungindi Show Society ask that you please adhere to the rules set out in the booking form. 07.01.2022 G'day everyone, We apologise this has taken a while to finally make a call on our Show this year, but we really didn't want to make a call to cancel until we really had to. Unfortunately, as you are probably all aware, due to COVID-19 and the short amount of time until our show, the committee has made a tough decision to cancel until next year.... Please know we have waited as long as we could to make this call and it is not something we've done lightly however, with the current restrictions in place it is not viable for us to continue this year. We also have the health of our community and surrounding areas at best interest and feel more time is perhaps needed to ensure the safety of everyone. We will use this down time to carry out some big funded projects at the show grounds such as the $180,00 Secretaries office re-build, $135,000 major electric upgrade and some building repairs, some concreting in the pavilion, a new retaining wall behind the bar to level 'the hill' and extend the width of the concrete around the bar. As a way to thank the community for their previous and ongoing support, the committee has decided to hold a free 'drive in' fireworks display for the community on the Saturday of Show weekend. 05.01.2022 "MUNGINDI FIRE APPEAL - It has only been 24hrs since this devastating fire started in Mungindi. The offers coming in from far and wide to support these shops is muchly appreciated. We have arranged a Go Fund Me page for any assistance you can help with. This money will be divided in 3 equal shares for the 3 shops that have lost their livelihoods. 11.11.2021 Dear Ticket Buyer, As you may already be aware, the MUNGINDI SHOW has been postponed to September 11th & 12th of this year. This postponement is due to the current border closure under current COVID-19 restrictions. As a border community, we can't possibly go ahead without all our community members having the opportunity to attend. On August 30th, the Committee will review this postponement to take in all COVID-19 restrictions. If the border remains closed, the 2021 MUNGIN...DI SHOW will be canceled. You will be issued with a refund if the Show is canceled. Thank you so much for your time & understanding. We will be in touch soon.

02.11.2021 With the Mungindi Show just around the corner and the uncertainty of border closures, the committee held a meeting last night regarding our Show and what our options were to hold an event under these circumstances. As the current closures prevent any Queensland residents from attending, we felt it was both unfair and unviable to continue with our program as normal. The closure disallows our immediate locals, sponsors, executive members, and stewards from attending as well as ...an estimated 40-50% gate attendance. The committee have now decided to post pone our event to September 11th and 12th. In saying this, we will reassess the border restrictions on August 30th and if the borders are still closed, the Show will unfortunately be cancelled until next year. Please also note that sadly there will be NO PAVILION this year even if the new date is able to occur. We want to thank everyone for your support and understanding thus far. These decisions are never easy and for two years now our committee has worked extremely hard to organise this event and have faced devastating outcomes which are out of our control. We will continue to be optimistic but also with a sense of fairness to our community in terms of opportunity to attend and keeping everyone safe.
