10.01.2022 Nestled between Macquarie Hills, Warners Bay, Speers Point and Boolaroo - Munibung Hill provides us with a great place to exercise and explore. From various parts of the hill visitors are rewarded with views across the lake, the coast, the Watagan mountains, Newcastle and Port Stephens. Locals have shared stories of the vast array of fauna and flora sighted in the area. After persistent requests from local residents and the tireless efforts by groups such as the Munibung Hill... Conservation Society, the council has started to look at how this beautiful landmark can be improved to provide greater access for locals. Lets use this page to share all of the tracks, plants, animals, significant sites so council can see what an important part of our community Munibung Hill is. The following is taken from the MHCS website (www.munibunghill.com) - To access the hill: From the north Lucilla Ridge (Macquarie Hills) The north-east Macquarie Road, Blaxland Road (Macquarie Hills), Grasmere Ave, Ambleside Ave (Lakelands) The south Thompson Road very steep and unmarked (Warners Bay) From the west Quarry Road, Hopkins Street (Speers Point) This site also has a lot of other useful information and history about the hill. Please share photos and stories of your adventures on this page.

02.01.2022 It would be great if we could all take a little bit of extra rubbish with us when we leave. Let us know if you have any other ideas to keep the hill rubbish free
