20.01.2022 So as you may have heard..We Just got plastered on the front page of the Northern District Times ! We are over the moon to have had the opportunity to work our magic in the amazing community of Eastwood. This incredible project has had our blood sweat and tears poured into it over the past few months. Successfully transforming the underpass in Eastwood from a notoriously dark and uninviting place, to a vibrant and inspiring Tunnel of Light!... We designed this mural in collaboration with the community, through engaging workshops with local business owners, residents, and the youth council of Ryde & we were opened to the diversity and depth that Eastwood has to offer. We installed this monster 100m long artwork over the past month with the intention to activate and uplift this space with symbolic representations of the community and a vibrant, dynamic use of colour & abstraction. Big big love to our incredible facilitators and artists Xander Zee Dan Walty Katy Alexander and Tofú Libre. Ultimate gratitude and respect to Hannah Goodchild and City of Ryde Council for making this amazingness happen. Looking forward to our next big activation! Hope you all get the opportunity to go and check it out and get the full experience. MUCHO LOVE FROM THE MURALISTOS

05.01.2022 The finished mural stretches over an epic 30m and involved 10days painting on site in the sunshine and occasionally under cover waiting out the July storms. When discussing ideas of belonging and community key symbols were identified by our group including the bee as the ultimate community carer ensuring flowers bloom and ecosystems flourish, the sunflower, magnolia, sun, moon and ocean connect us to place, and symbolise the resilience of women, and the growth we experience when we support one another !! Thank you St.Caths for the space to create, connect and envision !!!
