24.01.2022 Murchison House Station would like to let you all know some exciting news. We have decided to keep our Homestead camping ground open to the public for camping for the duration of all of November through till April when we are normally closed. Please take note that fires in the camp ground will not be permitted as we will be on Total Fire Ban.... Camping fees will increase to $15 per Adult form the 1st January 2020 and children will remain the same price of $5. We will be closed to the public during the Christmas period from the 20th December to 3rd Jan. Please note that the 4WD Access and Bush camping side will still remain closed to the public from 1st Nov to 1st April due to our busy mustering program that takes place during these months.

23.01.2022 To all our friends and guests. Regretfully we must advise everyone that as a result of the Covid19 outbreak and the subsequent government recommendations regarding non essential travel we will be unable to open on the 1st April as planned. All camping, 4WD access and tourism activities will be suspended until further notice. We wish everyone the very best and look forward to seeing you again as soon as possible Calum, Belinda and the MHS crew

20.01.2022 ***MAJOR UPDATE*** There’s movement at the station, pass the word around... The Man from Snowy River Bush Festival 2020 will be the biggest and best ever with ...100% of profits supporting the bushfire recovery. Following the devastating bushfires in our community we would like to send a heartfelt message of support and resillience to all those effected in the Upper Murray and beyond. Thankyou to the thousands of people that have donated their time and energy to the cause. Come and join the rebuilding of the Upper Murray and celebrate the regeneration of the High Country. Man From Snowy River Bush Festival April 2nd to April 5th 2020, Corryong, Victoria. 19.01.2022 This will go down as a first for Murchison House Station. Air Boat in the Murchison river went all the way to the causeway, but obviously that was a far as she could go. The sound of the air boat sounded like there was a whole group of V8’s down there. Everyone in the Homestead camp ground enjoyed seeing such a sight. Thank you very much to Leslie Fisk for capturing this moment and allowing us to post her photos.

16.01.2022 Yesterday we opened the station for 4WD access. This is what find today. Please please please...STAY ON THE TRACKS. These ruts don't go away and contribute to erosion of our rangelands. It's just careless and stupid vandalism.

15.01.2022 Murchison House Station would like to welcome everyone back as of the 1st July for camping. We are very excited to be opening again and we would like to thank everyone for their patience during the past 3 months. We are now fully booked for the July school holidays ... As we progress throughout the season till the end of October we have noticed that it’s going to be very busy. To avoid disappointment of enjoying your holiday and relaxing time here on the station, please book in advance. Please send all enquiries to [email protected] or follow the link on the webpage. Our Self Guided Walking Tours will unfortunately not be running this year. The station is looking beautiful and so green and we look forward to welcoming returning and new campers. Happy camping from the team at MHS

13.01.2022 From all of us here at Murchison House Station, we would like to thank each and everyone of you for a fantastic tourist season. From a exciting start of the year during the April school holidays with the river coming down and flooding over the causeway with all our Bush campers over the northern side. You were all very patient while we worked out an exit route for those who needed to go home. With the help of supplying our guests with extra fuel water and a happy face to he...lp guide you all. Others thought it was great excuse to get an extended stay. It has been extremely busy not only during the school holidays but throughout the whole season. Happy 4WDrivers exploring the station and the Self Guided walking tours with many people enjoying reading and looking at all the history and enjoying their morning tea and muffins in the gardens. From December 1st the station will be closed to the public for the busy mustering program which is now in place. Bush camping and 4WD access along with the Homestead Tours and Homestead Camp Ground will re-open on the 1st April 2020. Just a reminder for those who love to come during the school holidays that we already had a lot of bookings for throughout next year, so I would suggest you get in early to avoid disappointment. Have a safe and happy Christmas with a fantastic New Year and we look forward to seeing you all again soon. MHS TEAM

11.01.2022 De Houtman Abrolhos - ‘look out!' This weekend marks the 400th anniversary of the Houtman Abrolhos Islands being discovered by Dutch explorer Frederick de Hout...man in 1619. Houtman came across a number of low lying islands surrounded by dangerous coral reef and scribbled the location into his letters as a warning to other sailors - to keep your eyes open. Author and Maritime Historian Dr Howard Gray, shares the historic account.

06.01.2022 Good morning happy campers. We we have had an amazing 42mm of rain since yesterday. Hope nobody has a leaky tent! Today is a good day to stay at camp. Please don't go driving around the station as creeks are flowing and tracks are boggy. Showers should clear today. Here's looking forward to an awesome wildflower season!

05.01.2022 We highly recommend Kalbarri Rock Lobster Tours & Charters to everyone. Perfect Birthday surprise for our son’s 13th Bday. Very Professional, Very Fr...iendly & Knowledgable Staff/ Crew that made us feel welcome from the moment we were greeted on the dock. Caught plenty of Crayfish for all. Next level DELICIOUS Food! We ate fresh Crayfish fit for a King’s Breakfast cooked by the Chef onboard. We personally loved supporting a small local family business. We wish you all the very best with all your future endeavours! We will be back to Kalbarri again just to do the Lucky Bay Adventures #Kalbarri
