20.01.2022 Thank you Stretch Kontelj for your support over the years to help our club’s development. Message from Stretch: Prior to my overseas appointment in 2015, I was Murgheboluc Cricket Club’s City of Greater Geelong Councillor for seventeen years, serving as Mayor in 2001/2002. In October this year, I will again be a candidate in the City of Greater Geelong Council elections for the Brownbill Ward.... During my time as Councillor, I was a strong supporter of the Club, and if elected, I look forward to re-engaging with your Committee of Management and membership to advance the Club’s facilities. Some of the projects which I facilitated during my time as your City of Greater Geelong Councillor included oval and pitch redevelopment, improvements to the club pavilion and carpark, upgrade of the practice wicket and the supply and installation of water tanks to the pavilion. The Council election is being conducted by post with ballot paper being distributed between 6 and 8 October 2020. Residents have until 23 October 2020 to cast their postal vote. I am looking to secure one of three councillor positions for Brownbill Ward. In the lead up to the election, I would very much appreciate if you remind me to your members and welcome them to favour me with number one or number two preference vote.

18.01.2022 Recruiting announcement The club is excited to announce the arrival of 2 new cricketers. Matt and Nick Pratt will be joining us for the 20/21 season. We not only welcome Nick and Matt but their family, who are passionate about cricket and excited to support the club. Both the boys are excited to work hard and test themselves in Division 1. They have been involved in junior coaching at their previous club and will help develop our junior cricketers with the knowledge they hav...e gained over their careers so far. Welcome Nick and Matt, we hope you and your family enjoy the season at the frog pond!
