06.01.2022 Hey Murphy’s Creek! Question time - and we have one for you: DO YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY KIT AT YOUR HOUSE? If you don’t, or even if you do, NOW is the perfect time to check to make sure you’re ready to react when disaster strikes.... Emergency Kits should contain important paperwork (such as Deeds to property, insurance policies and animal registrations, copies of licenses or passports), torch or torches with a spare set of batteries , a portable AM/FM Radio , mobile phone charger , enough food to last you and each person in your household for 3 days AND at least 2L of water per person, per day (for a total of 3 days). Other handy items to include are toiletries and baby products . During an emergency, you may only have minutes to react - so spend some time this weekend making sure you have one ready, easily accessible and up-to-date. If you’d like more information, head to getready.qld.gov.au Tell us below what you have in your Emergency Kit
