25.01.2022 Window Wednesday...that’s a thing isn’t it? Well it is now! Progress on the Tocumwal Aviation Museum building continues in the lead up to Christmas with half th...e concrete slab being poured yesterday and the windows being installed today as well as storm water plumbing and other core infrastructure. This space will incorporate the main entrance, gift shop and cafe. The space under the mezzanine will incorporate a 28 seat theatre, exhibition gallery and memorial hall commemorating the 18 service personnel buried in the Commonwealth War Graves in the Tocumwal Cemetry. The concrete pour for the display hangar will be completed by the end of the week. So much work has been completed in a relatively short period of time but much work remains to be done before we open in March 2021.

24.01.2022 A historic day today with the relocation of the 1/4 scale B-24 Liberator from the entrance of the Tocumwal Golf & Bowls Club to the museum’s display hangar wher...e it will receive a thorough clean and some minor repairs before becoming one of the major exhibits when we open in a few months time. The fibreglass model is showing signs of its 10 years exposure to extreme heat, cold, wind, rain and dust and by relocating it under cover in the display hangar it will be preserved for future generations to see and learn of Tocumwal’s considerable military and civil aviation history and heritage. The B-24 model was mounted at the golf club on the 14th of October 2010 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the closing of the RAAF Station Tocumwal and was donated by the Tocumwal Historic Aerodrome Museum. The THAM collection will transfer to the new Tocumwal Aviation Museum for future preservation and curation among many other private and public collections, artefacts and memorabilia. Today’s move would not have been possible without the coordination and assistance of the following locals and local businesses: Bob & Gina Brown Crawford’s Civil Babcon Plant Hire Eddie Madden Andrew Wilmot Stewart Kedar Paul & Lachlan from the Tocumwal Golf & Bowls Club Aaron Vanderhoek

17.01.2022 There is still uncertainty around if and when all the borders will be open again. We are still working to ensure all our friends and customers will be looked af...ter and be able to continue to fly with us at TSC once normality returns. Our LS4 GNP is in the final stages of its complete refinish and is looking awesome. The recovering of MPG ( super tug Callair ) is almost complete as well. We have added yet another glider to our fleet during these quite times and caters to our Schempp-Hirth fans. Along with our 4 x LS4’s and Cirrus in standard class, we can now also offer a Discus B. All of our gliders can also carry water if your looking to add some speed to your tasks.

11.01.2022 Up And Off To The Airport ... Well sorta You may remember the bloke down the road with the plane I took a few photos of a couple of weeks ago, well this morni...ng was time to get some 'action' shots of this stunning little plane in the air, as opposed to posing at sunset. So there I was standing on the edge of a wheat field snapping away while this lovely machine did what it does best, i.e. fly. I leave this great little town on The Murray in a few days so this was a great way to edge toward the end of another chapter, I hope you, and he like the shots.

10.01.2022 Well done to Matthew Loffler and his Bathroom Team on the completion of the refurbishment of the rest-room facilities at the Murray Border Flying Culb rooms. An excellent result !

05.01.2022 The weather gods were kind with lighter winds today which made it possible for the team at Katty East Engineering to get the entire roof completed today. The t...eam have done a great job of insulating and cladding in fairly windy conditions the past week but the majority of cladding work is complete with only the northern end and hangar doors remaining.
