17.01.2022 Keller Back To His Best At MMS After a year away from the driver seat Brad Keller made a triumphant return to racing with an all the way win at the Murray Machining and Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway in only his second start back. Following a heat win and a second placing in his heats Keller started on the pole and then went on to dominate the A-Main, in what was Round 2 of the Sprintcars SA Tri-Series. Second in the 30-lap finale was Joel Heinrich, who celebrated his 25th Birt...hday earlier in the week, with his first podium result in a Sprintcar. Despite the fact Keller was victorious in the event Heinrich was clearly the driver of the night as his previous best was a sixth placing at Whyalla. Heinrich was also the fastest qualifier in Time Trials and he also claimed his maiden heat win. Local Murray Bridge racer Ryan Jones was once again on the podium as he finished third. It was the third time in as many starts this season that the Murray Machining and Sheds #63 had finished inside the top three and the fourth time in a row at a Sprintcars SA sanctioned race, a streak that dates back to March. After a poor qualifying effort that saw him miss the top 6 invert in the heats Marcus Dumesny fought back superbly in the main event charging from position 10 on the starting grid to get the better of Lisa Walker in what was a great battle late in the race. Mark Caruso, Jessie Attard, Steven Caruso, Glen Sutherland and Ben Morris completed the top 10. Austin McDonald secured his best A-Main finish in eleventh while Daniel Smith and Mike Fox were the only other finishers. The only red light of the A-Main came out on lap 8 for impressive rookie Max Vidau, who got hung up in the turn two fence after contact. Earlier the heat winners were Brad Keller, Joel Heinrich, Glen Sutherland and Ryan Jones. Strathalbyn’s Daniel Pestka unfortunately didn’t get past Time Trials after damaging the engine in his Stark Racing #27 continuing the tough start that he has endured with his new team. The next appearance for the Sprintcars at the Murray Machining and Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway is scheduled for December 5, 2020 with a Sprintcars SA Club Show. Ends Release

The program was set to include the 3rd of our SA Sprintcars Club Shows, the long awaited return of the Modified Sedans, along with V6 Sprints and Wingless Sprints with other divisions still being confirmed. Current advice from SA Health indicates that the restrictions will likely remain in place for the next two weeks, with our planned meeting fortunately falling outside of this indicated time frame. As a pre-caution, online ticket sales have currently been paused for the time-being via www.speedwaytickets.com.au Should advice from SA Health change in the meantime, a final decision in regards to the running of the December 5th meeting will be announced on Monday, November 30th which is the cited date for the end of the current 2 week restriction period. At this stage, our venue will still be capped at 1000 people for the December 5th meeting. Management had recently applied for the next level Covid Management Plan to allow for our capacity to be increased, and we were in the final stages of approval with SA Health before the current crisis unfolded. Given the current situation, we understand the Health Department may have other priorities at present - but we would like to keep our Speedway Community informed that we have been working behind the scenes to put the requirements in place and are still seeking to have our Plan approved for future events. 05.01.2022 TICKET RELEASE UPDATE - DECEMBER 5TH Official Release: Murray Bridge Speedway Monday, November 30th Murray Bridge Speedway wishes to advise the public that tickets sales for our December 5th meeting are expected to be available from tomorrow, Tuesday, December 1st **PENDING** final confirmation from SA Health.... 'We are still waiting updated information in regards to our Covid-Safe Plan / Management Plan from SA Health, and as soon as we have that, tickets will go on sale", Venue Administrator Darren Shaddock said. "We understand racefans are very eager to purchase their tickets, but we need to ensure the meeting can safely go ahead first, and that we can implement any further COVID Safe measures as required." Tickets will include: - Drivers & Crew (Licensed & Non-Licensed) - General Admission (Adult, Child 12-15, Child U12, Function Centre, Park & View) *No children/babies permitted in the Function Centre due to venue capping** Tickets will again be available online only via: www.speedwaytickets.com.au (no tickets at the gate due to contact tracing requirements).
