19.01.2022 Sad to hear of the passing of a friend and true gentleman - Dave Musgrove. So many great memories of a time since past, a loyal friend and confidante who worked with a number of golf's most revered professionals. A humble man with a dry, sharp wit that was so aware of the things that mattered, he was indeed, a few steps ahead in the emotional intelligence department...... A sad moment knowing he has departed our earthly world, yet smiling at the gift he has given in being known personally in the world of professional golf. Rest In Peace Dave ..... In nine years on Sandy Lyles bag he won the Open and the Masters, and his stint working for Lee Janzen yielded two US Opens. He once said of Bernard Langer, when he practices on his own, he can hold up a fourball. We might be jealous that he caddied for Seve for four years (a long time with Seve) but he felt he had served a sentence. When they got to the last green at Lytham in the 1979 Open, Seve said he could take four putts and win, but Musgrove replied, no you cant, Ive had a bet on you to finish under par...
