24.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING REGISTRATIONS FOR MURRAYMAN 2020 As you may have seen, Triathlon Australia have stop all race sanctioning until the end of April. It's not the end of the world just yet but if things continue we won't be able to run the event without sanctioning. Unless we are required to postpone the event, #MurrayMan2020 will be held on the October long weekend (3rd and 4th) with registrations opening end of May ... We're all in this together! #MurrayMan2020

23.01.2022 MURRAY MAN 2020 UPDATE The Murray Man committee has been busy reviewing this year’s race, with complicated restrictions and the lack of capacity to ensure a safe and enjoyable race, we have decided to postpone Murray Man 2020. Dates are still in discussion as we are waiting for confirmation from the local Barmera community. But we are looking to race in March 2021. We hope under the current circumstances, everyone understands why we have made this decision. Bring on Murray Man 2021!

21.01.2022 We are always looking to improve the Murray Man experience. We are pleased to announce the addition of a new race distance for next year's event (10th & 11th April 2021) with the introduction of a SPRINT distance race (750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run). We are also updating the HALf Murray Man distance to a standard distance race (1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run). ... Registrations to open SOON.

14.01.2022 NEW DATE ANNOUNCED FOR MURRAY MAN 2020 *REGISTRATIONS OPENING SOON!* We are always looking at ways to keep Murray Man fresh and interesting to athletes and supporters alike. Athletes have voted the race as the best event for 4 out of the last 5 years, something we are proud of and would like to continue.... We have a number of ideas we are considering for MM2020 including a change in the run course alongside the lake and the addition of a shorter event that will fit between the Nippy’s Come n Tri and half distance Murray Man. However, the most significant change to the date of the race. The new date for MM2020 is the October long weekend (3rd & 4th October 2020). Reasons for this particular date include; - Fit within the broader SA Triathlon racing calendar - The opportunity to encourage more competitors and their supporters to stay an extra night in the Riverland - Sufficient time between MM2020 and IM Melbourne 70.3 allowing athletes to consider racing both - Lower chance of hot days If you have any issues, questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to contact the President of Adelaide Triathlon Club, Tony. Ash has a strong passion for Triathlons and getting everyone else around him involved. 2. Sam @wey.tri.good Sam completed his first triathlon in 2018 after undergoing open heart surgery 5 years ago! Sam is an inspiration and hopes to complete his first 70.3 at #MurrayMan2021. ... 3. Sami @running_coffee_and_crohns Sami has competed in Murray Man since 2015. She was petrified of open water but decided to make it her thing because Triathlons have taught her you gotta get through the hard bits to savour the good. We’re excited to have Ash, Sam and Sami join us with their fun-loving attitude, willingness to push their limits, and of course, their keenness for their favourite event Murray Man! CONGRATULATIONS!!
