24.01.2022 In the past several weeks, it has come to Council’s attention, that many people are confused about which bin plastic bags go in Answer - they go in the red lid waste bin. If you want to use plastic bags to collect your recycling in, that’s a brilliant idea, but make sure you empty the contents of the bag into the yellow bin and place the plastic bag in the red bin.

23.01.2022 Illegal dumping is an issue for many Councils across Australia. It can come in many forms from cigarette butts being thrown out of vehicle windows, to trash being dumped on roadsides. 20.01.2022 The Moulamein community will see movement at the Howard Park playground over the coming months as we prepare the area for some new additions. Initially the rear section of the playground fence will be taken down to clear the area for new footpath. The front section of the fence will remain. Interested in what’s taking place?... Council will be improving the park with the addition of a new playground, BBQ shelter, footpaths, irrigation system, fences, bubbler and park furniture. Some of the work will temporarily affect park use, but we appreciate your understating as we complete these exciting upgrades!

20.01.2022 Asbestos Awareness Week reminds us that asbestos related waste cannot be placed in any kerbside bin and must be disposed of properly. In some cases, asbestos removal must be completed by a licenced contractor. For further information or to arrange an asbestos drop off please contact Council on 1300 087 004.
