23.01.2022 Remembrance Day 2020 As many of you are already aware, today marks the 102nd anniversary of Remembrance Day. We have many SES Volunteers who are ex-serving military personnel as well as many with family members who either have served or are currently serving our country both at home and overseas. Wherever you are today, we invite you to join with our volunteers in observing a minute of silence at 11:00am to reflect on the contributions and sacrifices of so many.

22.01.2022 Paul Dwyer & Debby Rogers paid a visit to Pingelly SES yesterday where Bill Mulroney and the crew were having a maintenance day at the Unit. Thanks for the welcome guys - it was great to meet you all and have a yarn!!

11.01.2022 There’s a new kid on the Emergency WA block! DFES and the Department of Health (HealthyWA) have partnered to customise the Emergency WA website (www.emergency.w...a.gov.au) to include map-based ‘human pandemic’ warnings if they’re needed. The website is now equipped to show localised outbreaks of COVID-19 and provide targeted information to communities impacted. While we hopefully don’t have to use it, this enhancement is part of the WA Government preparation for potential outbreaks of COVID-19 in WA. To help keep the community safe, remember to: Practise good hygiene and wash your hands regularly. Maintain a physical distance from others where possible. Stay home if you’re sick. If you’re experiencing symptoms, get tested immediately. Stay home and self-isolate if you are waiting for your test results.

06.01.2022 Waroona Training - as many of our volunteers living in and around Waroona can't always attend Murray SES training, once a month they attend a training session at Waroona. This particular training session concentrated on the storm Trailer set up. Tarps were unfolded then concertinaed and rolled, wrapped in plastic then stored back in the trailer. Ropes were checked as well as the pole saw.... Waroona training takes place every 4th Saturday of each month.

03.01.2022 Introducing the Murray SES mascot, STORMIE, our very own 'Storm Trooper'. Stormie's volunteer friends are at the ready to chainsaw any fallen trees resting on houses, ready to put that tarp over the damaged roof or go out searching for you if you get lost. Keep an eye out for Stormie at various promotional events around the Murray and Waroona shires.
