09.01.2022 Beach Road Foreshore Remediation Works Entracon has been engaged by Bayside Council to undertake works to stabilise a section of foreshore embankment along Beach Road, from the shared footway down to beach level. The works involve some reshaping of the embankment, installation of matting and geogrid along with some soil nails and sandbags at the toe of the embankment. Part reconstruction of the existing shared footway along Beach Road will also be undertaken. Refer to the at...tached plan which shows some typical sections. The section of stabilisation is across the Black Rock foreshore. The works shall commence the week of 3rd April and run for approximately 10 weeks subject to weather. Whilst a lot of the works will occur from the Beach side, at times works will need to be undertaken along Beach Road which will require a lane closure on the beach side and appropriate traffic management which has been approved by Vic Roads.
