25.01.2022 All but 2 of last years amazing rock band moved into high school. No matter! A new generation are ready to rock at Murringo!

25.01.2022 Home and hosed - Done and dusted. What a wonderful 3 day camp for our Murringo students. These kids have proved to themselves that they can do whatever they put their minds to. They were given opportunities to attempt and they certainly did conquer them. It was a pleasure to take them on this journey of growth and learning and when asked to step up, lead and help out others, they did. Very proud of them all. Here are a few more photos of our memorable time in the Illawarra. Sleep well and enjoy your weekend.

22.01.2022 Day 2 - Our surfer students today learnt how to read the surf, how to tell if there are rips in the water, how to identify the different flags on the beach and what to do if they are in trouble in the water. They then learnt how to surf, with many of them standing up on their boards within minutes. They were very determined and were knocked down so many times but never gave up. The evening was spent ten pin bowling before enjoying ice cream and bed. Goodnight!

21.01.2022 Hello Murringo families, I have just been in contact with our director and she has said that without power and therefore no running water, toilets lights air con and power, there is a likelihood that school will need to be closed today, however if power is restored in the next 2 hours we will proceed, however you have the option to keep your children at home. If we do need to close the school then we will need parents to collect their children. Please be aware that if we call you you will need to pick up your children.

09.01.2022 Day 3 - Heading home today. Started very early with the commotion of one particular cabin moving furniture, sweeping, mopping and tidying up in pursuit of winning the tidiest cabin over the three days. 5.43am was probably a tad early, but showed determination. Congratulations Bailey, Tyler, Max and Marshall, your conscientious and diligent manner was duly noted. We took on the heights of the Illawarra Fly Tree Top Walk. It was a bit out of our comfort zone, being so high amongst the tree tops and seeing how far it was to the ground below. We tackled it and came out the other side. Time to head home and maybe catch some z's as we travel.

09.01.2022 Good evening parents, Enjoy some (lots of) photos from the LD excursion today. A big thank you to Chris, Lee and Chloe at Hall Family Orchards and Cath and Peter at Ballinaclash Wines & Fruit for having us today. Thankyou too, to Uncle Aaron Horsburgh for getting us safely to and from our venues. ... We got to learn about the different cherry varieties and how they differ in size and colour. We took a look through the packing sheds and learnt how technology is playing a big part in cherry production. We took a walk and drive through the orchards where the kids got to pick and taste their own cherries straight from the trees and then of course, taste tested some yummy cherry products including cherry sauce, cherry jam, cherry cordial, cherry pie and cherry ice cream. The children were commended on being exceptionally well behaved and polite. Look at all those gorgeous cherry stained grins and smiles! Miss Whitechurch
