Thank you to the 11 surrounding Rural Fire Brigades, St John Ambulance, Murrumbateman Scouts, Yass Lions, Sutton Public School, Murrumbateman Men Shed, SES, Yass Clay Target Club, Yass Adult Riders, Yass Antique Machinery Club and Murrumbateman Pony Club who support us and help our event run smoothly every year.

25.01.2022 Did you know the catering at the Field Days is run by local community groups? When you purchase food or drinks at the Field Days, you’re supporting food sites run by volunteers like fire brigades, schools, sporting clubs, Murrumbateman Lions and our churches. We thank all of the volunteers that deliver delicious menus and contribute to the catering sites across the Field Days.

14.01.2022 A message from the Rural Fire Service volunteer brigades who helped us at #mfdays19: "A big THANK YOU to the tens of thousands of field days patrons and the more than 350 volunteer firies. The businesses that support us and everyone who helped make the 2019 field days a huge fundraising success for 11 of our local volunteer fire brigades: Back Creek, Good Hope, Gundaroo, Jeir, Manton, Murrumbateman, Springfield, Sutton, Wallaroo, Yass Control and Yass River. We parked more t...han 20,000 cars, cooked up more than 7,000 hot meals, about a tonne of hot chips in Al’s Kitchen and removed more than 30 tonnes of recyclable and general waste. These 11 brigades rely on the funds they earn from the field days for many of the annual costs that the RFS doesn’t meet, to ensure they are as well-equipped and well-trained as possible. As of today we have a 15-person strike team fighting fires up in the north of our state. These firies left on Tuesday and won’t be back until Saturday. It’s already our 5th rotation to these fires. In addition to our fire-fighters, we also provide supporting personnel community liaison officers and safety advisors in the incident management teams.''
