24.01.2022 Hello! The wonderful volunteers at the Co-op are bringing cheap fruit, veg and eggs to you again this Saturday! This is a not for profit service. Murrumbeena Baptist Church believe that eating good food is a human right and so want to support the community to do this. It is completely volunteer run, so please be patient! 23.01.2022 The Free Mask Box - what a wonderful idea! DONATIONS NEEDED! @Fiona Boyer told me about them and then @diannesouthouse posted that her neighbour had put one out. We (Murrumbeena Village Traders Association) are going to put a free mask box at the Bendigo Bank as well. All masks will come in a zip lock bag with instructions on how to wear them and care for them. If you would like to donate a mask to put in the box, please email Ann on [email protected] or deliver them to the Bendigo Bank.

09.01.2022 Hello Co-op people! Our Government announced last night that we have now moved to Stage 3 restrictions. What does that mean? -You can still go out for a walk, but keep moving. ... Now, only 2 people can be together in public places. BUT You are OK to go for walks with your family members. -Playgrounds and skate parks are now closed. VERY IMPORTANT - -If you are over 60 (50 for Aboriginal people) you must go into isolation if you can!! - that means just stay inside. No going out if you can -Only go out for essentials like food and filling prescriptions. The better option is to get home delivery from family, friends or businesses. We are flattening the curve but we've still got a bit of a way to go. Look out for your neighbours! Well done everyone! Stay safe! Stay connected!

02.01.2022 Hello everyone, Here is an email from Brett and the Co-op Volunteers: Sadly, with the Pandemic situation in Melbourne not looking too good, our Murrumbeena Co-op volunteers have decided its best for everyone's safety if we pause the fruit and vegetable ordering for a while. ... Here's hoping it will only be for a short while! We will miss you all. Please do text Brett on 0447 598551 if you know anyone who is stuck and needs help with buying and delivering their fruit and vegetable supplies. One of our volunteers would be happy to help however we are able. Stay warm in body and heart! Brett There are some home delivery options for you. 1. Beena Grocer deliver organic fruit and vegetable boxes, they are around $45 but you can't choose what you get. https://www.facebook.com/beenagrocer/ 2. Green Gully Organics will deliver to a place in Murrumbeena on Tuesday afternoons - you will have to go and pick it up. Their boxes are filled with staples but you can't choose what you get. Murph's Food Co-op deliver on Fridays - they are not cheap but are really good. https://www.murphsfoodcoop.com/ They have free range and local meat for sale too as well as ready made meals. 4.
