22.01.2022 Today Jay outlined some thoughts and processes that we will be undertaking over the next 3 months as we begin to dream and discern where God is calling MUC in 2021. Here is the video of that part of the service, we'll keep it pinned to the top so you can find it easily and reflect on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Er6xy-LhjvM

16.01.2022 This should help you all as we plan our car park Christmas services. Keep this in your car for future reference.
16.01.2022 Today is RUOK? Day. A day when we very deliberately stop and ask each other if we are ok. The other really important part of this is making the stopping long enough to listen to the answer and have a continuing conversation. Never more important than it is now.
16.01.2022 Seen this in a couple of places and thought it worth sharing here for you all.......
15.01.2022 Good morning everyone and Christmas blessings to you all. Please enjoy your at home resources for worship this morning. If you don't have them please message us and we'll get them to you. Our reading this morning is Luke 2:21-38 - the baby Jesus is presented at the Temple to be met by Simeon and Anna.... Here is the story you might like to watch as well as read. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfZsL5EYW3E

09.01.2022 Good morning all. Today 6 January is also known as Epiphany. It is the day that Jesus was made known to those who were not Jewish. The day that the magi/wise people/whatever you choose to call them came to Bethlehem. This interpretation came up in my Facebook feed this morning and I love it! Happy Epiphany!... Jay See more
08.01.2022 The latest copy of Crosslight is out, but only in digital format. Follow the link below, click on the download button and you'll be able to access it. If you want a copy printed out please let Jay know, it is 47 pages so if you can read it online that would be great. https://issuu.com/ucavictas/docs/2020cross_oct_flipbook
08.01.2022 Have you had a look at the local Glen Eira news? > http://gleneira.smedia.com.au/news/ < Well, some people have and they noticed some familiar faces! The council has celebrated the Seniors Festival for more than 30 years, and this year GE would would like to acknowledge and thank all those seniors who lead by inspiring example: While being alone themselves reach out to others with a phone call or a helping hand to offer support.... All the carers who continue to love and support the person who needs them. Those who just inspire us by defying what age brings and continue to just give it a go. Those at home knitting, sewing and making things to help those in need. The many volunteers who give their time, knowledge and passion to others in our community. The following people are just a few of the many wonderful seniors who continue to inspire us and set examples of the passion of giving to their community. Congratulations to all, particularly our mob Heather, Pam & Mary.
08.01.2022 Have you read the latest Newsbeat? This is the monthly Presbytery newsletter that helps us keep us to date with what is going on around the Presbytery. Feel free to download it or read on line. https://www.ucappep.org//uploads/2020/10/Newsbeat-October-
07.01.2022 Jay found this today and loves the picture and the comments. As we head into our All Saints celebration tomorrow, please read and reflect on this.....
07.01.2022 As we step toward worship together we pray, alongside churches in Australia, this prayer offered by The National Council of Churches in Australia: Gracious God, trusting in your providence and presence, we bring our prayer for an end to this pandemic. We pray for your strengthening of all those committed to offering costly leadership during this crisis. We pray for all who are ill.... We pray for those anxious about getting ill. We pray for those full of grief. We remember those who have died. Aware of our fragility, we pray for your grace to sustain us as we do what we can to end this pandemic. Your compassionate, peaceful and creative response to many crises is our model, including in our Sunday Gospel (Mt. 14: 13-21). As we worship in resurrection faith on Sunday August 2, we offer our heartfelt prayer in your Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
07.01.2022 We've had some more members join our Murrumbeena UC's Spoonville! Yay!
06.01.2022 Thanks to Roger and the YouTube version of our service is up and ready to view. This is the version to watch to see the presentation that Anne Don and David Robinson created for our 130th Anniversary. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zq3TI98Msj8&feature=youtu.be
05.01.2022 This came into my (Jay's) feed today - worth looking at and thinking about. Where might you be and where do you want to be?

03.01.2022 Got this in my feed today. Philip is a chaplain in the university system in Dublin Ireland. He is a great musician and does lots with some great community choirs. Just a beautiful song - thanks Philip!
02.01.2022 Jay has seen this in a couple of place and thought it worth a share. This can help understand what we might be feeling at this time as well as how others are feeling. https://elemental.medium.com/your-surge-capacity-is-deplete
02.01.2022 Before we kick off this morning, don't forget there is our 'Welcome to 2021' letter, with the new conversations we are hoping to have all together during the first quarter of this year.
02.01.2022 Just in case youre interested. Im sure this will be great.
01.01.2022 Some of you have asked about the bowl we used for the offering in worship yesterday. Here is another photo of it. Bruce Robinson made it for Jay, hand carved from Huon Pine. Jay was planning to use is as a baptismal bowl but it worked very well as an offering bowl.
01.01.2022 Hello to all our people and friends. As we enter into full stage 4 lockdown things are going to get a little harder and we are going to have to do things solo. One thing we dont have to do solo is the telephone, or text, or messenger, or other form of contact that does not require us leaving our home. So, please ring each other, pray for each other, contact each other in whatever way you can. Also, if you need something please ring Jay or your Elder/Pastoral Carer and we... will help in whatever way we can. The church office will be closed for the next 6 weeks, we will still live stream and record worship on a Sunday morning so you can continue to connect that way. Keep in touch, stay home and stay safe. Remember to reach out if you need to, we are all in this together even though that can feel like it is just me.
