20.01.2022 Congratulations to our 2020 Club Champion, Susan Harrison snatching a 2-point lead over runner-up Aki Ishikawa. It was a tight match, right to the end. Well done to both players. 17.01.2022 Congratulations to the 2020 Mixed Fourball Champions, Mike & Ruth Whelan, defeating last year's Champions Des Desfontaines & Donna Chalmers on the 17th hole. Great effort Mike & Ruth to win this event your first time in...especially when you consider Des & Donna are formidable opponents having been undefeated for two years up until today. Hope all who competed enjoyed the competition. We were so lucky to get it in this year! (Photo: L-R Doreen Culliver, Ruth Whelan, Mike Whelan, Des Desfontaines and Donna Chalmers)

10.01.2022 100 years young Canberra woman Margaret Forsythe was born in New Zealand a century ago, and is celebrating her milestone birthday under COVID restrictions. ..."Well I'm kinda getting on ... I'm pretty lucky to be able to reach this age and still be able to converse a little bit," Margaret told ABC Radio Canberra. Margaret has lived an incredible life: she got her trucking license during WWII for the NZ Air Force, island-hopped her way to Japan without a passport where she met her husband, and her lifetime has covered significant moments in world history including the building of the Berlin Wall, race riots in Africa and demonstrations in Tiananmen Square. "You can think back about all the things that you used to do, and also of course, how lucky one can be to have been able to do these things and to be able to remember them."
