24.01.2022 Last evening the Club was lucky enough to hold a very informal and scaled down Changeover at Romano's Hotel to induct Cameron as the new President of Murrumbidgee Rotary! Immediate Past President Eilagh highlighted all the good work the Club achieved for the first six months and lamented the unfortunate events of the last six months. It has been a rollercoaster of a year for IPP Eilagh, but she has handled it with a steady resolve and tenacity! The motto for the Rotary Intern...ational year of 2020-2021 is "Rotary Opens Opportunities", and we all look forward to creating some new (and reviving some old) opportunities for the Club. Goodluck President Cameron, we wish you all the very best!

24.01.2022 The world certainly does need more good people doing good things in their communities.

24.01.2022 August is Rotary membership month, a time to appreciate our members and celebrate the impact they have made. This month we will be putting a spotlight on some of the wonderful individuals who make up The Rotary Club of Wagga Wagga Murrumbidgee. Meet Ros. ... Can you tell us a little about yourself? "I grew up on a rice farm between Griffith and Darlington Point. After high school, I moved to Wagga and was one of the last ag students to study at Wagga Ag College before its gradual transformation to CSU. I met Peter a few years before we spent 8 months travelling together through the top half of Africa before returning here to work at the Agricultural Research Institute for the next 35 years. We married and have 3 adult children, Myles, Hannah and Penny. Landcare, Justice of the Peace work and driving for the Cancer Council are some of my interests." Why did you join Rotary? "Despite my father being in Rotary and displaying every characteristic of the traditional rotary male (including loving the non-healthy BBQ’s), I realised the organisation had a solid creed and ethos. I also wanted to meet and socialise with people I might not generally cross paths with." What is your favorite Rotary Memory? "No singular memory, but rather the fuzzy feel of goodwill being around other people who are passionate and eager to better their community and themselves. I get a kick out of seeing different community groups come together to further a common goal." See more
