24.01.2022 MURRURUNDI QUIET MORNINGS 2020 Dear Friends, Following, some information regarding the Murrurundi Quiet Mornings for 2020. ... After some group discussion at the end of 2019, we have decided that it is important to keep the "quiet" in the Quiet Mornings. We had some good and robust debate around various topics last year, but this cut into reflection and prayer time, and the group felt it would be important to recapture some more quiet time in 2020. We also acknowledged that good discussion and debate is important as well! With this in mind, we would also like to have an additional day (time TBA) for discussion on the subject of "Baptism - social ritual or sacrament". We will establish a date and format for this discussion (and perhaps others) after we begin our meetings for this year. Thank you to all who suggested topics for the Quiet Mornings in 2020. Our dates and topics are:- Saturday 4th April "Jesus Final Words", reflecting on Jesus words from the cross. Saturday 2nd May "Gifted by the Spirit", reflecting on being empowered by the Holy Spirit Saturday 4th July "Ways of Prayer", reflecting on various methods of prayer (co-facilitated by Rev'ds Wendy and Barbara) Saturday 1st August "Our Home is in Heaven", reflecting on the promise of eternal life AND Date TBA (perhaps November) - Discussion Day "Baptism - social ritual or sacrament" Quiet Mornings start at St Paul's Murrurundi Hall from 9.30am. 01.01.2022 2020 Quiet Mornings - Postponed Dear Sisters and Brothers, It is with regret, that due to the issues surrounding the current COVID-19 situation that Rev'ds Barb, Wendy and myself have taken the decision to postpone the Quiet Mornings for the time being.
