25.01.2022 **ATTENTION** Due to the COVID-19 impact the club has made the following decisions: All club programs have been cancelled until further notice, this includes;... - TIN ALLEY COMPETITION; - JUNIOR PROGRAM; - ALL TRAINING PROGRAMS (VVL & SOCIAL) This decision was made with the advise of MU Sport and was deemed a necessary and precautionary step by our Committee. The situation will be reviewed on a weekly basis and updates will be posted here. If you have further questions, please feel free to message us.

24.01.2022 We hope you are all staying safe as COVID-19 restrictions in Victoria begin to ease. We have now entered a stage where some outdoor non-contact sport has resumed, and by June 21, indoor sport at limited capacity is also expected to resume. At this time, however, it is unknown how the easing of restrictions will affect Volleyball. We are waiting for Volleyball Victoria to release a Return to Play Plan, as this will provide guidelines which we will have to follow. This document is expected to be released in the coming days we will update again when we have more information to share. Until then, keep up your fitness and abide by social distancing and government regulations at all times. Stay safe and we can't wait to see you all hitting the courts soon!

23.01.2022 *COACHING EOI* Melbourne University Renegades Volleyball Club is seeking expressions of interest from coaches for the 2021 Victorian Volleyball League season for multiple men's and women's club teams. We also welcome expressions of interest for assistant coaches, and coaching support for our social training program.... Expressions of interest should be accompanied by a summary of prior volleyball coaching experience and qualifications, playing experience, and whether you hold a current working with children check (or willingness to apply for one prior to taking up a coaching position). Although it is not required, please let us know if you hold any first aid or sports training qualifications. Our coaching positions are volunteer positions, however depending on the level of the positions, coaches will receive an honorarium. Please email all enquiries and expressions of interest to: [email protected] and [email protected] Closing date for expressions of interest: 18/01/2021

17.01.2022 Based on club feedback to date and on the current announcements by Vic/Federal government, all Club indoor programs/training/social events will continue to be suspended until further notice. Updates will be issued around Easter to ensure all members are informed of any changes. From all the committee at MURVC, stay safe and be kind.

15.01.2022 The Club has not received approval to recommence general training for all members, only selected State League teams have been approved to return. Consequently, please keep checking our Facebook page for 2021 start up dates. The Club wishes everyone a happy holidays and new year, and hope 2021 is as normal as possible.

12.01.2022 The MURVC Committee is sad to report the VVL season is officially cancelled. The health and well-being of our state is obviously the top priority, so please stay safe until we can return to play. More updates to come on refunds and potential post-season trainings.

07.01.2022 The club would like to send our deepest condolences to Barry Maguire's family, friends, and the wider Monash Volleyball community. We will miss seeing Barry's face around and he will be sorely missed in the volleyball community.

07.01.2022 Desperate times call for desperate measures!

02.01.2022 Hey renegades! We're sure you have all seen the Victorian Government's announcement to ease COVID-19 restrictions from Wednesday the 13th of May. Unfortunately, the announcement changes very little for Volleyball as an indoor sport. For now, we encourage you all to continue working out with your team over virtual platforms and to abide by government regulations if you choose to exercise as a group - a limit of outdoor gatherings to 10 people while maintaining 1.5 metre dista...ncing and general hygiene. No official club training will begin as of yet. Volleyball Victoria is waiting for the Return to Play Plan from the State Government. This plan is expected to circulate next week. We will then update you all as soon as we have more information. In the meantime, keep social distancing and we'll see you on the courts before we all know it!
