25.01.2022 COVID-19 - North Coast Shield 2020 This Sunday we see our U14 boys take to court at Grafton’s new PCYC facility. To be COVID Safe we need your help! Our COVID ...plan has been approved by NSW Govt and we’re working with each venue to ensure we have everything covered to keep us all safe and our competition running. If you need to ask questions about the below, then the answer should most likely be NO! If you try to find loopholes in the below, then the answer should most likely be NO! Please do the right thing, the last thing we want to do is be forced to ban specific people or worse, be forced to say NO SPECTATORS. The North Coast Shield COVID Plan may have different elements from your local association. That’s perfectly fine, this is our plan and we are responsible for keeping our participants safe when playing North Coast Shield. We don’t want to be fined for not complying with government regulations or have the competition cancelled. Thanks in advance for your cooperation with the below. 1. If you are unwell, please stay at home. 2. Maximum of 1 parent/carer per playing child. Please make other arrangements for non-playing children in advance. We don’t want to have to turn you away at the front door. 3. Sign-in at the entrance and hand sanitise each time you enter the stadium and when you exit after each game. Please socially distance when queuing at the entrance and exit. 4. Game and warm-up balls will be supplied. No basketballs are to be bought to the venue, inside or outside. Please leave them at home, we don’t want to confiscate your basketballs so please don’t bring them. 5. All teams and spectators must exit the stadium immediately after their game to allow for surfaces to be cleaned prior to the following game. Please take all your belongings with you when leaving the stadium. 6. Each team will be allocated a marquee to gather as a team between games. Parents may remain in the same area as the team but must be socially distanced 1.5mtrs. BYO camp chair or blanket to sit on. Teams are not permitted inside the stadium when they aren’t playing. 7. Please follow the instructions of the COVID officers on the day. Be respectful and if asked to move, please do so. 8. Most importantly please remember our North Coast Shield committee and all our carnival day helpers are Volunteers who give up their time to make it possible for kids to play the sport we all love. Take the time to say thank you when you see them. We’re looking forward to a great Sunday in Grafton. See you all there

24.01.2022 Thank you for a great day at our u14 boys carnival at PCYC Grafton. Thank you to all our parents/carers, coaches and players for abiding by our COVID Safe pla...n, we know it's hard on all families who want to watch their kids & grandkids play. We're sorry some were turned away today but we have to adhere to the COVID rules & ask that you make the decision prior to travelling so that we're not put in that position at the front door. As always a huge thank you to the volunteers from our host associations, today it was Grafton Vikings Basketball. Your volunteers were amazing and it was great to see everyone working together to make the day successful. On behalf of our Sponsors Hertz Northern Rivers, Rugendyke and Bashforth Contracting and the North Coast Shield Committee, we hope you had a safe journey home. We have a few weeks off now, we hope you enjoy the break & we'll see you back for more basketball after the school holidays.
