18.01.2022 We’re looking for local businesses, suppliers and groups that focus on sustainability, to be a part of Tweed Shire Council's 2020 Sustainable Living Home Expo.... This is your chance to get involved with our virtual expo which is being hosted online on Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 December between 11am and 2pm each day. This years theme is climate change in the Tweed and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The virtual event will provide a unique opportunity to share information and expertise, and promote your products and services directly to an engaged audience of local residents and home owners. The expo will have online interactive webinars, exciting prizes, a virtual sustainable living business marketplace and links to local community groups. WFS is devoted to the prevention of, and recovery from domestic violence within the Northern Rivers communities. They provide evidence-based services that respect diversity and promote safe and respectful relationships, families, and therefore communities. WFS presently run two programs: Love Bites , which is a Respectful Relationships Education Program for young people aged between 15-17, and a Finding Me Program which is a 12 -week recovery-based program supporting women to recover from domestic violence, and is focused on increasing their self-determination. 03.01.2022 Get ready for a splash of colour in Murwillumbah CBD with the installation of pop-up art seats in several locations from next week. Artists have been workin...g hard at M-Arts preparing the seating and adding their own unique touch to our short-term Green Parklet, Public Art and Activation project. Also part of the initiative and on the way in November are two temporary parklets which will be located in Queen Street and Brisbane Street. The parklets will incorporate seating, plantings and interactive spaces.
