02.01.2022 Breakfast is the most important meal of the day... Were all heard that before but 99% of the time Im hearing the same thing: 1. I eat some sort of cereal 2. I eat toast with either jam, honey, Nutella etc 3. Fruit 4. Or my favourite... I dont eat breakfast. ... Starting your day with a high GI carb is going to spike your insulin and blood sugar levels which isnt optimal for sustaining energy and overall health. If your goal is to reduce body fat I would highly recommend starting your day with protein and healthy fats. Eggs is a popular choice, if youre not a morning person have a shake with some nuts or quality oil. My favourite would have to be meat and nuts which can take a little getting use to but is now one of my favourite meals during the day. Charles Poliquin explains:
