25.01.2022 Feel free to share our page guys.Feel free to share our page guys.

25.01.2022 Speed boat deck is just about finished.a bit more reinforcement parts to go in, lift it out.

24.01.2022 The research and development Tool boat was fun with a little electric motor. Being fiberglass battery acid doesn't eat holes in the bottom.

24.01.2022 The things boat builders do to get an invisible glue line.

24.01.2022 We got the opportunity to take out the test mule toolboat last weekend. Excellent fun and a bit of a workout

23.01.2022 Floor and hull is finished. Ready for flowcoat and release.

23.01.2022 A bit of fun out in the Research and development Tool boat. They make a great stable fishing platform.

23.01.2022 To help this customer out I had to free form new parts of this wheel arch flares.

22.01.2022 Interesting info. Good for queensland

21.01.2022 Muscle Boat marine does more than boat work. Here is a mould for A Corvette bonnet. Here's some steps for mould prep before making a part.

20.01.2022 The hardest work is behind us with the speedboat hull. Reinforcement layers in, transom in and nose block in.

19.01.2022 Here's a transom job we did.

18.01.2022 I'm having fun fitting beautiful timber trims in a big Catamaran

17.01.2022 Toolbox boats are actually a boat!. Units from $2500

16.01.2022 A few things to bare in mind when fitting cleats. 1 make sure there is adequate reinforcement behind the area of fitment and accurately mark out position. 2 Access to through bolt. 3 use larbe washers to spead the load. 4 seal with proper sealant. 5 align the scew heads for professional finish. 6 turn the nut not the bolt so you don't twist off all the sealant.

15.01.2022 With a little bit of persuasion Ben and I lifted the speed boat deck out. It is remarkably rigid and light. The mould side of these is always much better looking than the reinforcement layers.

15.01.2022 We have a new old stock dinghy for sale. 2.4m 40kg. Built in buoyancy it won't sink even if you are standing in it with the bungs out. Very stable, rows and motors well. Special price $1100, $300 off.

14.01.2022 Yesterday's project - scarf out transom pieces and block off stern drive cut out. Also add in thin timber strip to margin boards

14.01.2022 Another L88 bonnet on it's way

14.01.2022 Muscleboat Marine can also recreate classic Musclecar parts. Here's a few Corvette parts for a start.

14.01.2022 I final got to have a Go in this today. Next time I will go flat out but this was a great test run

13.01.2022 Stringers sorted. Foam floors cut, fitted and glued in.

12.01.2022 Livingstone Christian College Students have a fun day trying out the canoe they made. These are available for sale and are the smallest vessel by Muscleboat Marine.

12.01.2022 It's always good to use the ear muffs to flush out the salt after every run. They say leaving it even overnight can be really destructive. It only takes a few minutes.

12.01.2022 I'm sanding up the boards now. Oh fun. The "square board" on the sander polished in the middle of the deck works like a concretors helicopter. It floats over the high spots without leaving disc half moons. It pumps out dust like a cloud. A mask is a must.

11.01.2022 This is the first coat of UV stable epoxy resin to seal the boards. This coat tends to make the grain stand up and is rough. After this it will need to be sanded with the grain. Any minor blemishes are filled with matching timber filler before sanding but always after the first coat.

11.01.2022 Some fun at Wyarralong dam testing out the new electric motor on the R and D boat

11.01.2022 Here's the stages of a recent transom job we did to remove the rotten timber and replace with new ply.

10.01.2022 Our first skiboat hull out of the mould. A new boat is born!!

10.01.2022 After lots of mould prep. We have the gel coat in and the first skin on for the speed boat. The first skin of glass is thin to ensure that there is no air bubbles.

09.01.2022 Todays project. Remove delaminated Mahogany and machine up new boards.

09.01.2022 Some of what I did today on the wooden speed boat was to put in wooden plugs to cover screw holes. You can see some completed in the boards closest in this shot. The screw holes are drilled out and wooden plugs are cut from the same timber with a plug cutter of a matching diameter. I like to leave them in the timber as pictured and snap them out with a screw driver as needed. They are epoxy glued in the grain aligned then sanded down flush the next day. I use a grinder with a sanding disc as a chisel may break them off too low.

09.01.2022 We had a great day doing some more research and development in the Research boat at Wyarralong dam.

08.01.2022 A nice clean boat but the trailer brakes are had it!

08.01.2022 This weeks progress on the speed boat between services

07.01.2022 Some research and development trying out a new electric motor on the Toolboat. Toolboats are great for this because the battery acid doesn't eat fiberglass!

07.01.2022 I finally got back on this boat to lay the last tricky mahogany plank

05.01.2022 We're doing a little carbon fiber repair

04.01.2022 The inside of the speedboat hull flowcoated and final reinforcement in the deck. Pipes glassed in for wiring and cables.

04.01.2022 We semi custom build your your boat and deliver.

03.01.2022 Time to get Leviathan fired up!

02.01.2022 I dragged the first toolboat out of the paddock and gave it a buff and polish. It would now be 11 years old and has copped heaps of abuse. I use it as a development R and D tool. I think it came up pretty good. To get a shine on gelcoat takes a few tricks though.

02.01.2022 I finally got back to putting a couple more Mahogany boards on today
