17.01.2022 Hi everyone little update for Old El Rusto. Tony’s been cleaning up lots of rust holes before going to the blasters. But just when he thought he had everything put to bed Old El Rusto comes thru again, more rust. Tony was digging out seam sealer on the RH quarter and there it was hiding. So he repaired this and the fuel filler hole which we had tried to buy a cut, but everyone we looked at was rusty. So we may get these scanned and punch some out. Next thing to do is pai...nt strip the sides then it will be off to the Blasters. Stay tuned for the next update on Old El Rusto Rob

15.01.2022 Hi everyone, we were very excited today when we received the first off tool samples of our HK HT HG reproduction Bucket seat side covers which we have been working on for sometime. We did the trial fit up today and they need a little tweaking, we will make the required adjustments and then swing into production over the next week or two. Hoping to have them available for sale around November-December. Rob

14.01.2022 Old El Rusto update, Tony is moving along with the rear end and lower quarters, lots of repairs and hand made sections required. Sometime during its life the RH quarter was damaged and someone had removed the inner support, Tony made up a new section and reinstated it, he also made and strengthened the rear bumper/beaver supports so they are ready for the rotisserie, Stay tuned for the next update. Rob

13.01.2022 Finally got some time to get back to Old El Rusto. Tony got into repairing the gutters today, especially the front section. We have been waiting for a new batch of gutter sections that will be back in stock on Monday. So all the preparation is ready for the new side replacement gutters and some small repairs around the windscreen area. We picked up another nose cone which had minimal rust, Tony picked off the bumper filler pieces and exposed a small amount of rust. We will get this cleaned up and use this on the car. Stay tuned for the next update.

10.01.2022 Our new transit van is signed up and ready for work.

08.01.2022 EH Van update, it has been rubbed back and it’s back in the booth for it’s final Flow Coat. Can’t wait to see the finished result Adam Certoma.

08.01.2022 We finally had time today to get Tony back onto old El Rusto. It’s like a good rust mine, the more we dig the more we find. Tony spent the day rebuilding the rear RH pillar, the rust had attacked both the inner and outer panels. Tony had to hand fabricate lots of new sections and we are planning to spend a few more days on it next week. Stay tuned for more updates next week Rob

08.01.2022 Awesome old pics of the pub in the early 60’s, check out the cars.

08.01.2022 Hi everyone, got a bit further today on Old El Rusto. Tony attacked the lower rear end today and Old El Rusto didn’t disappoint with lots of rust . As you can see by the pics there is lots of work to get it back to metal. After this is done we will get the body off the chassis and on the rotisserie so we can start on the sills and floors. Stay tuned for the next El Rusto update.... Rob

06.01.2022 Hi everyone been a while since we have had an update for Old El Rusto. Today we lifted the body off the chassis and it’s now on the rotisserie and after Tony cleans up a couple of welds under the car it will be sent off to the blasters and epoxy coated. While it’s there we will do the roof seperate then we will attach it back onto the car. We also have a coupe of sets of doors and upper tail gates to do. Since the last update Tony had carried out repairs to the roof skin. Stay tuned for the next update on Old El Rusto Rob

04.01.2022 Hi everyone, over the next couple of weeks we will be releasing our new reproduction Seal & Skid kits for early to mid 1970’s Hollandia Electric Steel top Sunroofs. These roofs were fitted throughout the world and some were dealer and factory fitted in Jaguar’s, Porsche’s and Mercedes. Here in Australia I have seen these fitted to many local cars as a dealer option including Falcon’s and I have one which was fitted to my EH panel van in the early 1970’s. What’s in the kit; 4 ...x Runner Nylon Skids 2 x Side Seals 1 x Front Seal 1 x Rear Seal 1 x Wind deflector Seal These seals have been reproduced from NOS seals which I have had since the early 1980’s. Once we have the kits available I will do a follow up post with pictures and prices. Rob

04.01.2022 Hi everyone, got a bit further today on Old El Rusto. Tony is still working on the rear end and lower quarters. The car has had some accident damage in the past on the RH rear quarter where someone decided to cut out the inner brace. Tony was busy making new patch sections with lots of hand forming and welding, we are going to be on the rear end for a few more days. Stay tuned for the next El Rusto update. Rob

02.01.2022 Hi everyone, we got some time today to get back to Old El Rusto. Tony has been busy today fitting the new batch of gutter repair sections that are now back in stock for both Holden & Fords. He also had some repairs around the rear opening, front screen and front gutter area. The rust is slowly disappearing and Tony also gave the sides a quick sand, so it’s getting closer for paint stripping. Some of the panels We have dropped off to Adam Certoma from Classic Customs to epoxy coat as we don’t have a booth handy. Stay tuned for the next El Rusto update. Rob

02.01.2022 Hi all the EH Van is now flow coated, so happy with the result, thank you Adam Certoma, I can’t wait to see it after it’s cut & buffed.
