25.01.2022 The planned October 19th re-open date for myotherapy is dependent upon case numbers. It is doubtful we will have confirmation until Dan's announcement on Sunday 18th In the meantime, Myotherapy Association Australia has released the following to all media channels in an effort to spread the message calling for Fair, Clear, Common-sense Access to Essential Healthcare for all Victorians. Hang in there everyone - can't be too much longer

24.01.2022 We are back OPEN after a quick Christmas break. Just a reminder that with the recent Covid outbreak in VIC please don't forget to wear your mask in the clinic

23.01.2022 Woohoo The clinic will be back open from Wednesday morning. Please be patient while we contact everyone on our waiting list for appointments.

22.01.2022 RE-OPENING UPDATE Once again we were left no better off after Dan Andrew's announcement yesterday. Our association will be attending a briefing on Tuesday with the DHHS and their Allied Health Team to discuss the roadmap out of stage 4 lockdowns. They are pushing hard for answers in the hopes we can bring forward the October 19th re-open date.

20.01.2022 Thanks Damien for redesigning our website - it looks fantastic https://muscleneedsmyo.com/

20.01.2022 We have received confirmation that Myotherapy is NOT included in the latest easing of restrictions Another devastating blow to the Myotherapy industry. Our association plan to meet with DHHS in the hope to have these directives changed, as they successfully did in Stage 3. Any appointments made this week will be cancelled and we will be in contact with each of you to reschedule once we have the green light to open.

19.01.2022 The latest news we have been told is that we will be allowed to re-open from October 19th. Our calendar will be open for bookings in the coming weeks.

19.01.2022 Today's announcement in regards to Myotherapy is confusing compared to previous discussions, announcements and written communication from DHHS. Our association is working hard to get clarification but we are unsure when we will get notified. For those of you that are booked in this week, hang tight and we will be in contact as soon as we find out

18.01.2022 So disappointing...again.

18.01.2022 The impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, physical distancing and isolation can make us feel anxious, stressed and worried. The Australian Government will provide 10 additional Medicare subsidised psychological therapy sessions for people subjected to further restrictions in areas impacted by the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Looking after your mental wellbeing is an important part of staying healthy during this challenging time.... https://www.health.gov.au//additional-covid-19-mental-heal

05.01.2022 We are pleased to announce we will be BACK OPEN FOR (restricted) BUSINESS from Monday 11th May! We understand this time of isolation has been difficult for many people but we are thankful to see that together we are flattening the curve and now look forward to helping you all again soon. Please check our calendar for availability as there will be week to week changes. At this stage only the next 2 weeks will be available to book. More will be opened up in another week.... The health and safety of our clients and staff is still our top priority so we ask that you read and adhere to our temporary clinic policy and procedures regarding COVID-19. These can be viewed when booking online. We thank you for your understanding and co-operation in these difficult times. https://muscleneedsmyotherapy.gettimely.com/book

05.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE At this stage we remain open as an essential health provider. However, we are strongly advising anyone in the high risk categories (the elderly, people with chronic conditions or compromised immune systems, from a hotspot area etc) to remain at home unless absolutely necessary. We also encourage anyone that can manage at home with exercise and stretches to do so at this stage. Please check our website for all COVID-19 information regarding appointments. http://www.muscleneedsmyo.com/covid-19-update.php

05.01.2022 We are currently having issues with our phone line. Please send us an e-mail if you need to get in touch :-)

02.01.2022 This was not the news we were hoping for. Our association is working really hard to change the outcome from DHHS but you can help too. What can I do to help? If you are frustrated with the Victorian government’s response, the best way to ensure that your concerns are heard is for you to contact your local member directly, and urge them to ensure continued access for patients to myotherapy at this crucial time.
